“I use these on a daily basis, with my waterproof iPod shuffle (also from Underwater Audio). The sound quality is better than I could have imagined possible for underwater headphones. The “tree” buds also act as earplugs, creating a secure and tight, but comfortable seal, so I no longer end up with swimmer’s ear, or water sloshing around in my ears for the rest of the day post-swim. I follow the recommended procedure for inserting them of crossing my arm over my head to pull up on the opposite earlobe, and then placing the bud into the ear canal. I can’t speak highly enough about Underwater Audio’s customer service- they have been prompt, courteous, and responsive any time I have had reason to contact them. This is my second set of headphones from them, and I definitely recommend getting the optional extended warranty. I had one side/earbud stop working, and they replaced them quickly, no questions asked, no hassle. Having music to swim to has gone from a luxury to an essential!”

“My experience with Underwater Audio, and it’s swim buds is a 5. I am a competitive Master’s swimmer, I swim 4 times a week for an hour each time. I have been through several ear buds, and find they usually last a few months and the quality is quite poor for those few months, as water easily finds its way in during flip turns, etc. I was about to give up on my waterproof iPod ability when I saw Underwater Audio’s unique Christmas tree design ear bud. I also noticed that they were higher in price than other ear buds. I read other reviews and decided to take a chance. I LOVE MY UNDERWATER AUDIO EARBUDS!!!!! Listen to me! Save the time and aggravation and go straight to the best! You will save money in less than a year, because you won’t be replacing these excellent quality buds. They seal perfectly without water leaks, and are so very comfortable. Thank you Underwater Audio for making a quality product.”

“I have purchased 2 sets of Swimbuds and BOTH stopped working less than 30 days of use. . WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY

I use these for swimming laps for one hour, every day.

I bought the first set on Feb 7, 2021 and after daily use they were dead by March 11th The sound would turn on and off while like there was a short in the wires. Dead within 30 days…

I got the second set on Mar 11, 2021 and after daily use they were dead by April 14, 2021. Same problem the sound would turn on and off like there was a short in the wires. Dead within 25 days…

I keep them in a special case that holds my swim goggles and the Swimbuds (see photos). I don’t wrap the wires around the goggles to avoid kinking them. I have been very careful not to bend, twist or damage the wires in any way but both pairs failed anyway.

On the positive side they did deliver great sound and an awesome variety of earpieces that allowed me to find a custom fit that kept the earbuds in-place even during swimming flip-turns. The earpieces provided a leakproof fit that allowed me to swim without constantly readjusting my earpiece. My only complaint is that they are apparently made with inferior wiring or something else that is so fragile it shorts out within 30 days.”

“If you’ve not yet purchased; NOW IS THE TIME. I’ve had just about every single brand out there for waterproof headphones as I’m an avid swimmer. To date none can even compare to these. I did encounter a glitch, my first pair had a loose wire in one of the buds. I contacted the company and they did everything in their power to ensure my problem was resolved. They normally ship out a replacement once the receive the ineffective pair back. I explained that I loved them and wanted to minimize the time without them. They made an exception in my case and shipped me a brand new pair the same day. I’ve been using them for quite awhile now and they are simply amazing. If you want a wonderfully music filled swim this is the product you MUST buy.”

“I am so glad I purchased these to go with my new waterproof iPod shuffle- it makes doing laps so much more fun. I really appreciate the variety of attachable earpiece shapes/ sizes, because most headphones are too big for me and hurt if I have them in for too long. I’m still figuring out the perfect fit and how to get them to stay in place without occasional adjustments or some water seeping in, but I think this is more a case of them being new and having to get used to them as opposed to it being an issue of quality. I will probably start wearing a swim cap or a headband to go over my ears to keep them in place. I would definitely recommend this purchase to all swimmers!”

“This is an excellent product, a real boon for swimmers. The underwater iPod works, and earpiece and connection options are helpful. Sound quality is pretty good, too. The only understandable difficulty in use is keeping a water-tight seal in the ear. Initially, flip turns in particular stressed the seal enough to allow water in and a drop off or cut off in sound. I remedied this first by experimenting with the earpiece options, and after I found the one that worked best, securing the whole setup with a swim cap (which I had not worn before). With a firm seal, Swimbuds allow a swimming experience I never thought possible.”

“I read an excellent recommendation for these waterproof earbuds and was convinced that these were going to be my best choice, if only for the large selection of sizes and shapes intended to stay in a swimmer’s ears. I’m still experimenting with various snap-on tips for the earpieces, but with some hints from other reviewers, have not been disappointed. I am enjoying listening to an audiobook on my waterproof ipod shuffle while I swim. It is much easier to exercise when my mind is occupied with something other than the blue line on the bottom of my lap lane!”

“I am impressed. I have had my ipod from underwater audio and killed two sets of swim buds over past several years. They replaced them free the first time. This time I was well past warranty, but they gave me a $20 discount code and reccomended the Swimbuds Sport. I hesitated for a week, read a lot of regiews, and finally decided to take the plunge and go with the sport. $30 more than the basic swim buds I had been using, but well worth it. The sound is 10 times better, fuller base the music sounds great. The regular swim buds were decent, but the sport are fantastic. And the fit? First time no adjustment or vasilene needed. The christmass trees may look similar to the standard swim buds but MUCH IMPROVED seal and comfort. Now if I can just find a pair of goggles that is actually fog proof, I will be one happy swimmer. You guys Nailed it with these sport budsl. This is a headphone worthy of your waterpoof iPod. Great Job!”

“I’ve been trying for years and can’t keep the water out when swimming. Caps, waterpolo helmets, theraband wrapping (caused abrasions on ears), every bud on the market and no luck. These out of the box fit and with a little fitgoo (silicone insertion helper), fit smoothly with no leakage. The insert end is slightly canted one direction to point straight into the ear canal. Normally, with the wires hanging down, there is a right and a left bud. Just insert in the opposite ear and run the wire under the straps and you have a streamlined secured, properly directed sound channel.”

“I have small ears, and the only earbud tip that fits at all is the standard small one that they say is for regular use instead of in the water. These come out of my ear every other length and let in water in between so I can’t hear the music. I have been swimming with music for about 8 years, and these are the worst earbuds I have bought. Very disappointed since the price point is so high. I was looking forward to being able to use them without problem like their description claims.”

Generally speaking, most users have given favorable reviews on Swimbuds waterproof earbuds, which shows that it is a good product. However, its in-ear design is easy to make the ears uncomfortable. And it is a wired earphone, which is not convenient to use. When you use it while swimming, you need to carry an MP3 or other audio equipment with you. If you want to find a more, comfortable, durable and convenient swimming headphone with better performance that replace it in the market, Wissonly Hi Runner bone conduction earphone is highly recommended.
