“I injured my back and the only exercise that does not hurt is swimming…. so I swim.. and swim.

If I didn’t have music to swim to I would not swim so I credit this purchase for keeping me in the water and helping to keep me sane and healthy.

I purchased the H2O Audio Stream 2 100% Waterproof MP3 Music Player with Bluetooth and Underwater Headphones Short Cord, 8GB in April.

This review is for that purchase and the subsequent waterproof headphones that H20 Audio sent me after the first pair stopped working

The H2O Audio Stream 2 100% Waterproof MP3 Music Player with Bluetooth and Underwater Headphones Short Cord, 8GB is the most user friendly waterproof audio device that I have used: 5 stars.

It worked perfectly the first few months and then the speaker in the right ear stopped working.

Customer service quickly sent a new pair as soon as I contacted them; another 5 stars for a hassle free experience. This company stands behind its products and wants the customer to be satisfied.

My recommend is to make sure you use the correct Eartips to ensure a good fit. The order comes with a good variety to choose from.”

“I may adjust the star rating on this product but for now, these earbuds have not done a good job of staying in my ears and/or keeping water out. The sound went away several times in the right side; I tried different sizes of the included ear pieces and ended up getting so much water in one ear I just went to the clinic to get my ear drained. My first pair of these lasted years and I had zero issues. This pair so far has not delivered. I just cannot get them to stay put or keep water out and the sound is not the best. Very tinny and muffled when water interferes.

UPDATE: since clinic visit to get ear drained I have had intense tinnitus and am now seeing an ENT for further inspection. Also, not using earbuds in water anymore.

Just read some online reviews of “the best” brands of waterproof earbuds and H2O Audio Surge 2G were at the top of the list. I believe those may have been my original ones and this current pair that I’m having issues with is not or they’re refurbed or they just plain suck. I dunno.

Anyway, research other brands and definitely try the various earbud pieces with these ones to find the right fit. I tried every set and not one prevented water from getting by nor fully stayed in my ears. My ears aren’t THAT special!”

“I have the waterproofed iPod Shuffle and had some other waterproofed headphones but the sound quality was barely acceptable even for my drastically reduced expectations and it was constantly losing sound on one side after a few laps of swimming. So, I decided I needed a replacement and decided to give these H2O headphones a try. I figured that it couldn’t possibly be worse than what I had been dealing with.

Well, I have to say that these headphones definitely exceeded my expectations and this is from a bonafide audiophile who is extremely anal about sound quality. No, it does not compare to the Audeze LCDi4 in-ears or my custom-molded JH Audio IEM, but for $40 that takes the monotony out of swimming laps, it delivers excellent sound and has proven to be quite reliable. You’re dealing with water and bubble noise so all audiophile sonic details will be lost anyway. You just want a good solid fundamental sound with a decent soundstage and that is what these headphones deliver.

I primarily listen to classical music and having Chopin’s Nocturnes or Brahms’ piano concertos playing in my ears while swimming can be quite a blissful experience and it actually encourages me to swim longer and with more energy. I now swim 30~40 minutes non-stop while listening to music when I used to quit after 15~20 minutes due to the sheer tedium of swimming laps. So, yes, in effect, these headphones are actually making me healthier and I’m sure it’ll do the same for many others. Highly recommended.”

“I am an avid swimmer who has been using waterproof MP3 and iPods for years. The tough part is finding headphones. I’ve tried quite a few but have stopped looking after I bought this type 3 years ago. Now, I have yet to find headphones that keep water out 100% of the time. And I’m not putting “gunk” in my ears to form a seal which some headphones have with the directions. If water gets in my ear, I take the earbud out, clear my ear, then back to swimming. But these are legit. I absolutely love them and will only use them from now on.”

“I recently bought an SEWOBYE waterproof MP3 player for swimming laps. Even though the included earbuds work, they are terribly uncomfortable, and lack decent BASS. I bought these after seeing the positive reviews from other swimmers. Arrived Today. They are almost perfection! The earbud tips are very soft so even though you are jamming them into your ear canal they are not uncomfortable. The short Cord is the perfect length if you like attaching your MP3 player to the back of your head on the goggle strap like I do. Never leaked once. I was able to go into turns very aggressively and they never came out. I never felt any tugging on the cables as water rushed by. Sound was crisp, and bass responsive. Highly recommend!.”

“The sound quality is very good. The problem is that the earbuds do not fit secure in your ear while swimming. I have previously used the swimbuds headphones in the past and their earbud tips hold nice and secure in the ear creating a good sound by keeping the water out. I thought I would try these and they would not fit securely in my ear, causing them to slip while swimming and allowing water in that muffles the sound. For lap swimming I would personally not recommend due to the fit.”

“I did spend 1 week on my swimming training with H2O stream 2 and H2O surge s+ headphone, I was shocked to witness the good sound quality especially when you are swimming/staying underwater. The product is too easy to use. I was afraid of drags etc. when flip turning or swimming fast or butterfly NOPE that is not a case you don’t even need to put headphones under your swim cap, it just sticks in your ears perfectly (if you choose the correct one for your ear ofc). The quality of the product is nice, adding songs are too easy, the Bluetooth stream from a phone is working really good if you can keep your phone at the side of the pool which means in the 10meter range obviously. Even if you stay underwater for a period of the time yes it does disconnect because Bluetooth signals cant goes through the water when you come up it auto connects to your phone. My phone is Xiaomi Mi9. Thanks for fast delivery from the USA to Turkey it was flawless, fast and had no issues. Packing was simple and nice. I will recommend this device to anyone who likes to enjoy more when swimming.”

“I purchased these 3 years ago, and the good news is, they’re still working! I swim 1–2 times a week. I like the short cord, and can usually position them so sound quality remains consistent through the swim (with occasional adjustments). However, they can be extremely uncomfortable because of their design. They’re pointy on the outside edges, so it juts out of the war and presses against the cartilage, especially under a tight cap. If my goggles strap hits that pointy part, it digs into my ears even more. I wish the plastic housing was flat. So i’m going to try another brand now and see if I can get the same sound quality with a more comfortable design.”

“I really like these headphones. Previously I owned Waterfi headphones, but they would stop working after a few months. They are no longer in business so the warranty didn’t do me any good. I like that the cords are a little longer than the Waterfi ones because my swim goggles attach at the center back so my iPod has to be set off to one side and these headphone cords are just enough longer to make that work better, but still not get in my way while swimming. They also come with a variety of earbud covers so you can make them fit you well enough to stay in while swimming laps. The sound is also really good. The real test is how they hold up over the long run, but the one year warranty made me decide to try them and I am very happy I did. I swim a couple of miles a week and music just makes it more enjoyable.”

“The ear tips are better than most for keeping water out. You really have to put them up inside the ear canal though. And that is where the problem lies. YOU CAN’T GET THEM OUT. There is no stem or handle or slight protuberance to get a grip on to get these things out.

In order to seal against the water they have to sit right at the entrance to the ear canal nestled in the concha. Unless you have huge ears, you will have a difficult time grabbing hold of the earbud’s body to pull them out.

This will lead to pulling on the quite small and fragile wires to get them out, which will in turn quickly cause the formation of a electrical short or even complete removal of the wires.

Not sure if this is a design or a “feature” causing you to have to buy many more sets of buds over time.”

The above is the real user review of H2O audio surge 2g waterproof headphones, which shows that it is a good product. However, it still has some problems, It is linear, and if you want to use it while swimming, you must match it with an MP3 player. Its in-ear design is easy to cause discomfort to the ears after long-term wear.If you expect to find a swimming audio device suitable for swimming and daily life in the market, then the Wissonly Hi Runner bone conduction headphone for swimming, which is practical, comfortable and convenient to wear, deserves your consideration.

Wissonly’s team has been researching headphone products that don’t hurt the ear as early as 10 years ago and introduced bone conduction technology into the field of headphones. Their products have powerful performance, high-cost performance, and are very strong in core performances such as sound quality, sound leakage reduction, and waterproof level.

Since it is a bone conduction headphone for swimming, its waterproof performance will not let you down. The waterproof performance of Hi Runner swimming bone conduction earphone reaches the IPX8 level of the industry standard, and the wearer can work normally while swimming or diving, not to mention being sweat-proof or generally waterproof.

In terms of fit and comfort, the whole frame of Wissonly Hi Runner is made of adjustable aviation grade titanium steel, which can adapt to different sizes of head circumference and ensure the stability of wearing. Its earphone surface is made of high-tech low-sensitivity silicone material, which contains no chemical components to avoid allergic phenomena. The overall touch of the earphone is as silky as baby’s skin, avoiding uncomfortable situations when worn for a long time. Moreover, its weight is very light, less than 30g, and it will not feel heavy when worn. As the flagship model of outdoor sports of Wissonly brand, it is the most comfortable and cost-effective one among all bone conduction at present.

It is also equipped with 32G body memory, which can store 5,000 songs, and supports Bluetooth and MP3 working modes. You can use it as a Bluetooth MP3 player for underwater sports or scenes without a mobile phone.

The overall function of Hi Runner is also the most perfect. In terms of sound quality, this bone conduction earphone uses the latest research results of wissonly laboratory, which increases the vibration area of the vibrator by 35%. At the same time, it also optimizes the sound transmission direction to make the sound more concentrated and the music more spatial, and it has a good performance in both high and low notes.

Wissonly has made a lot of efforts to reduce its sound leakage. Its all-wrapped design reduces the vibration of the shell, and through structural optimization, the sound waves of the sound leakage are cancelled, thus avoiding 90% of the sound leakage. Wissonly Hi Runner’s sound leakage performance is much better than that of the same gear bone conduction headphones on the market.
