“I have used them for a week while swimming, and so far they do the basics. not the greatest sound, but underwater they get louder and sound ok. The Battey is not the best but for bone conduction on full blast volume they do ok. The buttons are a bit tricky and going from the BT mode to the TF mode takes just the right double click, so that’s ok. The head band is a bit small for a large male, but with my glasses off and my goggles on they fit ok. Assuming they last a few months, this is a very ok headset for an OK price.”

“before i start with the actual product itself, i’d like to warn that there is something weird going on with this product and the reviews for it. depending on the time of day, there are hundreds of reviews for this item. right now, there are only 6. so i’d like to chime in with my own review if it helps anyone.

right off the bat, these have 32gb of space and bluetooth for around $50. you don’t get either of those features with the SHOCKZ swimming bone conductors.

that being said, completely ignore the reviews about these not working in the water. bluetooth technology as a whole relies on radio waves, which straight up will not work under water. you have to load music files onto the device directly if you want to listen to music while swimming.

you just turn it on and then click the middle button a couple times and the nice asian lady on the headphones will politely tell you “TF mode”. then your mp3/mp4/flac/wav files will start playing. unfortunately, there is no shuffle mode, but you get what you pay for.

sound quality is about the same as i’ve experienced with similar bone conductors. it’s not great, but it gets the job done, and keeps your ears open to other sounds which is extremely useful if you like hearing danger while doing your cardio. you may have to play around with the positioning on your temples to achieve better sound quality.

on a positive note, these things sound awesome when you’re swimming. the water somehow makes them better for me, i think because my ears seal and give the conductors more surface area to work with for conduction. long story short, it sounds like the gym is jamming some music directly into the pool. once again, not fantastic sound quality, but awesome enough while are swimming. bringing them into the hot tub after the swim is also a really nice capability.”

“I bought these to use while swimming. While swimming the headphones constantly cut in and out while active. The headphones last 5 minutes the first time. I placed them on charge all night and tried it again the next day and it lasted 10 minutes. the headset itself was loose and would move off of my head while swimming. “The headphones when they work play their part, the sound isn’t fantastic but I didn’t expect it either. The battery has to be charged every day because it is not certain that it will withstand two one-hour sessions, but it can last. The goal was to listen to music while swimming and that was enough for that.

But within two months the USB connection failed and it can only be used to charge it. Computers don’t recognize the unit and you keep the playlist you loaded last time without the possibility of changing it.

There is no way to contact the seller. Avoid problems, do not buy this product.”

“These headphone stays on my head well. I’ve been training up endurance and would do 30 minutes swims almost every other day. The headphone allows me to listen to my favorite songs while I do laps. “It came with a bag to carry it all in and also some ear plugs in case you need it to be more noise-cancelling. They fit comfortably around the back of any head and are effortlessly adjustable. “I have been swimming with these now for a few months and now I am getting a low batterie message even after a full night of charging and I get a blue light saying the headphones are fully charged. I will not recommend these for swimming, I am moving my rating down to just a one star!

I received these yesterday and swam with them today. I was in a 25-meter pool and had my phone next to the edge of the pool, and the headphones kept disconnecting from my phone. The headphones slid off my ears when I would push off the walls. I would not recommend them to faster swimmers.
