“Great for what I purchased them for.

Pros:

-Sweatproof, I purchased these for the gym where I sweat profusely and these have worked well for the past few weeks being soaked as I exercise

-Stays put once stuck into my ear, doesn’t move around or fall out when running, biking, or lifting weights

-Playback quality is decent and volume can adjust loudly to drown out the easy listening crap they play at my gym

-Battery pack case is great for storage, after using the headset at the gym I plug it in and throw them in my gym bag and am comfortable knowing my earbuds will be charged for the next day at the gym. I can get a full weeks worth of 2 hour workouts (Roughly 10 hours) off of a fully charged headset and backup battery/case

Cons:

-Sound quality isn’t the best I’ve experienced for headphones

-Comfortable for an hour or two but afterwards begin to irritate my ears (with the smallest ear rubber pieces attached). Could just be that they are too large for my ear canals

-Battery doesn’t last much more than 2.5 hours, but I don’t use them for more than 2 hours at a time anyway

-The wire that connects the earbuds together is a bit longer than I would like it to be, it flops around while running and tends to creep over to the right side due to the weight of the volume controller switch. I intend to shorten it by coiling it in the middle and securing it with a rubber band to take out the unnecessary slack as another review suggested”

“Decent sound. Decent call quality.

The cordless headset is MUCH easier to use in the car. Great to use while running.

The waterproofing seems to work. It’s survived rain and sweat and spills.

I’ve enjoyed using the BackBeat Go a lot.

These headsets survive about 1yr of daily use. Sometimes I put mine through multiple charge-depletion cycles per day.

The rubber cover over the charging port in the right earpiece eventually stretches out and doesn’t seal as tightly as it did originally.

The rubber back on the left ear piece has expanded on my current pair, so it doesn’t seal at the edges anymore.

And the battery life drops from ~4hrs to ~3hrs of playback over the headset’s lifetime.

I’m on my second pair (a warranty replacement for the original). I really like using this headset.

Oh…I noticed these headsets sometimes “wake up” from charging, and pair to your phone in the middle of the night. That’s a little weird.

All that said, I’ll probably buy another pair when my current headset wears out.”

“I have enjoyed using these headphones, because of there versatility, customer service, and ergonomic design. First they have amazing sound quality and sound canceling qualities outperforming all other headphones I’ve used before, and you might think that they would fall off, they won’t, not saying that they haven’t fallen off before, they have on the right side mainly since it’s more heavier and only when I’m running top speed with allot of sweat they’d slip off but it doesn’t happen so often and an easy fix is a good wipe. They don’t irritate your ears either due to their ergonomic design, and I’ve had many people ask how they don’t fall off toward my back, and since I’ve never had that problem I’m just baffled on why they would ask, but it reminded me that it was the first thought I had when deciding which headphones to choose, and eventually I was won over by its cool looks. Lastly I had a problem with the unit after 8 months which was devastating, it had started to malfunction. I was so attached to it since i used it about every day since purchasing that the only solution was to buy another, fortunately there was a warranty and the customer service was superb, amazing, understanding, I love them, Must I say more. I returned the unit and received a new one within a week.”

“After about a year of use, I maintain my initial opinion that these are just okay — especially for the price. Overall, they look nice, but the sounds isn’t on par w/ price.

PROS:

Nice form factor — easy to unplug and leave around your neck; easy setup & easy to turn on/off without having to touch the phone.

Case charger — has saved me a couple times when I’ve forgotten to charge.

CONS:

Sound is tinny compared to other headphones I have — even with an equalizer, I can’t get any good bass out of these things. Good for phone calls, not for music;

Fit — they tend to slip out of my hears easily (a problem I have with many ear buds) — some 3rd party rubber buds helped make a more secure fit, but if I wear them while running, the rubber texture on the cord grabs my collar and they pop out often.

Battery — battery life is definitely short — even for bluetooth headphones. I find that I have to charge them after every use at the gym and if I forget before the next day, It’s a drag. The little charging battery in the case has saved me a few times. I can plug it in while warming up on the treadmill and they’ll get enough juice to get me through weights.”

“Very well designed and engineered product. I shopped for bluetooth wireless headphones because I needed a way to use my iPhone while on my motorcycle. I don’t need the mic capability while riding, but I do need to hear my GPS and music.

I usually check CNET’s reviews when looking for electronics because they’re usually spot on, as they were with these. These bluetooth earbuds are highly rated by CNET and are also a PC mag Editor’s Choice product.

They work flawlessly for running, walking, working and have been a perfect product for motorcycling. I can even use the mic feature at slow speeds or when I’m at a stoplight. The only small drawback is that they make it a little harder for me to remove my helmet, but they are very low profile as far as bluetooth earbuds go, and are by far the least bulky of the models I’ve tried.

Pros: Comfortable, great sound, great range, and easy to operate features. Charging case is awesome if you’re traveling!

“Love these things!

Use them 90% while on bicycle stationary trainer, sometimes for as long as three hours. Battery last that long at a good volume. Have used them a few times for work conference calls, good quality and no complaints. These charge quickly and have sound that’s good enough for me — I’m picky, but no audiophile. The battery is good for three hours, but four hours is probably the limit. Nice and light weight, simple controls, good fit / feel. I don’t do any jogging or running (unless a dog is chasing me!) so can’t comment on whether these are secure enough in the ears to stay put.

I ordered and tried a dozen headsets at the same time. I’m that kind of guy, and yes I do drive my wife a bit nuts. I tried wired and wireless headphones (all in-ear / over-ear) from all the big names, some of which cost up to $250. I sent them all back except for these. Just what I wanted, and surprisingly the cheapest (least expensive…) of all the ones I ordered. Go figure, sometimes the sun shines on me…”

“I read a lot of reviews on these headphones. I only use them for either running or cycling.

First, the sound was more impressive than what other reviews were saying. Are they noise cancelling Bose quality? No, but they get the job done. I was pretty impressed by the bass and the overall sound was clear.

The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars was that when I sweat, the headphones tend to start slipping. So every 30 sec or so I have to reach up and push the earbuds pretty deep into the ear.

If you’re walking around the house or just working out with weights (where you don’t sweat as much) these headphones are great.”

“My main problem with earphones is getting them to fit into both ears properly. I’m not shaped like Shrek or anything but apparently do not have the same size ear canals as a majority of the population… These earphones have some of the most comfortable ear pieces I’ve ever tried and the stabilizer really does help with holding them in place through nearly any kind of workout. From running to biking, working out in the gym and on the track I have not had a problem with them falling out or breaking down at any point. Having a charging case at the ready is also a huge bonus, just charging them in their case for about 20 minutes (from completely dead) will buy you an hour of listening time. AWESOME! Great product, and for the price they are absolutely unbeatable.”

“After trying this product a handful of times, I am extremely frustrated with its design and functionality. Although prior to purchase I realized the two earbuds were connected with a wire, I assumed that the product engineers had designed the wire (and the headphones generally) to function well during workouts. This is particularly true given that eliminating the frustration that goes along with wired headphones is, presumably, most Bluetooth headphones’ users’ primary motivation for using Bluetooth units.

After really trying with this product, that is clearly not the case. This product exchanges the annoyance of a wire that hangs in front of your chest for the annoyance of a wire that clings to the back of your neck. The wire consistently gets stuck, uncentered, on your neck after turning your head to one side or the other. Then when you turn your head back, the now-stuck wire pulls at one earbud. After two or more turns of the head, the pulling wire works the earbud out of your ear. I find this to be the case whether I’m sweating a lot or almost not at all. Under almost any circumstances, if my head is not looking perfectly straight ahead at all times, I find myself annoyed and frustrated with the wire clinging to the back of my neck and the earbuds falling out of my ears.

This issue is particularly irksome given the product’s claim of “waterproof and sweatproof protection for use during intense workouts.” I specifically chose this model based on its “sweatproof” promise. While the headphones have not died as a result of sweat (and thus are, at least for my purposes, effectively “sweatproof”), they clearly are not designed to function during any activity (other than perhaps a steam) that actually causes the user to sweat.

Thus, although the sound quality is fine, these headphones simply are not functional for working out (doing anything else that requires movement — this design is frustrating for even wearing around the house). As a result, I’ve switched back to my old wired headphones and the annoyance of a wire that hangs in front of my chest.

My next pair of Bluetooth headphones will certainly feature something more rigid connecting the earbuds. I’ve used a pair of such a design that fit extremely well and stayed put during workouts but failed after a handful of uses. The search continues.”
