“The Skullcandy - Mod True Wireless Earbuds are a great pair of earbuds at an amazing price given how well they work and the features they include. It isn’t common to find true wireless earbuds at this price point which can be used individually with either earbud. Other sets of earbuds require you use only the left or only the right earbud if you only want to use one at a time, but These Skullcandy True Wireless Earbuds have Clear Voice and Smart Mic built-in to each of the earbuds which is a nice feature when you only want to use one at any given time but still be able to answer calls and listen to music. This also means you can essentially get double the battery life since you can use one earbud until it dies, put it in the case to charge and then use the other earbud. The battery life is already really good but being able to rotate each earbud in and out makes the battery life even better and you pretty much don’t have to worry about ever being without at least one working earbud (assuming you keep the case charged which is also easy to do and does not need to be done all that often).

When it comes to performance, I really like the sound quality these earbuds produce and the Stay-Aware mode is nice if you do want to use both earbuds at the same time rather than only one to still be able to hear what is going on around you. In addition, they are pretty comfortable to wear and the built-in controls are easy to operate and make for a great all-around listening experience.

Overall, the Skullcandy - Mod True Wireless Earbuds are a really nice pair of earbuds and I highly recommend them!”

“The Skullcandy Mod True Wireless Earbuds are good little sound machines with a few aggravations.
The cool features are being able to get paired with multiple devices. I paired mine to phone -Pixel 6pro, Table - Samsung Tab A-8, and my desktop pc with built in bluetooth. While rated to pair to 2 devices, I was able to pair mine to these 3.
Sound quality is pretty good for what it is, and I would argue superior to others in this price range.
The app is easy to use and allows you to customize the sound, though it leans more to the bass side of the sound spectrum. At louder volumes the bass can make voices seem a bit muddled.
Call quality is good, and you are able to use just 1 or the other if you need an ear open and unobstructed.
Play time was excellent. Rated at 7 hours of battery life, I can say they last at least 5 with no problems. Charging for 10 minutes is supposed to give you a couple more hours.
The gripes are:
The aforementioned bass quality, but then again these aren't $200 headphones.
Fit for me was not good and I had trouble keeping them in my ears during light activity. My GF tried them out and had no issues, so fit may vary.”

“The sound isn't anything like the sesh evo earbuds. None of the rubber ear thingys are comfortable. Either they fall out or I'm constantly pushing them in. The connection is absolutely horrible. With others I was able to have my phone in the kitchen and walk into other rooms no disruption but these suck so bad and become choppy when I walk into the next room. Plus I can't get any of the 'push twice to skip song' NOTHING WORKS. Don't buy save yourself the hassle.”

“I really liked everything about these earbuds, there's tons of good and bad reviews but to me they're awesome, perfect fit I work construction and I’m covered in sweat all the time and they don’t fall off my ears, great sound quality buttons works great battery is just incredible left bud lasted me 7hrs 53min & right one 8hrs 44min I timed them as soon as I put them on, I got a pair of AirPods and these skullCandy earbuds don't fall behind for it's price, buttons are a bit sturdy but for $50 you can’t really complain, I like’em a lot I’d say they work pretty good I'd give them a 10/10
In my opinion they work better than the AirPods and for a more reasonable/affordable price!”

“These Skullcandy True Wireless earbuds are the real deal. They are exceptionally easy to setup and pair. They very quickly found my iPhone and my MacBook and boom - I was paired. Skullcandy allows these to pair with 2 devices at once - they suggest you keep your phone paired while using another device so that you can answer via the earbuds. Smart! Anyway - I opened Apple Music, played a song (Taylor Swift) and I could hear beautiful music out of the earbuds.
I then downloaded the Skullcandy app and found it to be quite useful although not necessary if you choose to forgo the app. The app allows you to make a bunch of customizations - for instance you are able to re-program the buttons, set the equalizer, see the charge left on the buds, that’s where you will find the use guide plus more. So it’s not necessary as much as helpful.
I find these to be very comfortable and secure in my ears. The one thing I don’t like about these earbuds is the push-button style that is used to change the track, volume, answer a call, etc. on the buds. When I press on it (both left and right), I feel like I’m shoving the buds inside my ears and it’s quite uncomfortable. Most earbuds I have tried need just a simple tap to make changes.
Overall, I am loving these Skullcandy Mod wireless earbuds and I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.”

“The Skullcandy Mod True Wireless Earbuds come packed with features usually not found at this affordable price point. You can customize the app buttons, use preset as well as custom equalizer settings, connect to 2 audio sources and switch between them quickly and use with one earbud or both. The earbuds are rated to last 7 hours on their internal batteries and 27 more hours through the compact charging case for a rated total of 34 hours. I haven't had an occasion to use them for more than 2 hours continuously and the app showed the earbuds still having almost 90% of the charge. The earbuds are rated IP55 dust and water resistant. I found the preset music EQ setting missing something but was able to switch to the custom EQ setting and make adjustments that made the earbuds sound perfect to me. I only have tried the stay aware mode twice briefly. I wasn't really comfortable that I could hear enough of what was going on around me and ended up both times I wanted to use it removing one earbud so that I had one ear open to the surroundings and one for music. I intend to try the stay aware mode again in a private controlled environment instead of in public and perhaps I can become more comfortable using this function in public. Many earbuds and headphones will not reach the maximum volume that I want. I've never been sure whether I should blame the safety features of my phone or the earbuds. These earbuds reached an acceptable level without maxing out the volume every time. I'm impressed with these earbuds. They have the features and sound quality of earbuds costing four times their price. If I could change one thing, I would ask for extra small ear gels.”

“I am amazed how well these Skullcandy earbuds sound, they exceed my expectations with the features included and best of all of good value. The earbuds have Bluetooth version 5.2 so they have a very nice range. They do feel comfortable in the ear and I like that included there are two other pair of silicone tips small and large plus the medium size on the earbuds.

The battery life is great, ten minutes gives 2 hours of music and fully charged I get up to 7 hours plus 27 hours more with the case. So vacationing with these earbuds is a good idea.

They do have IP55 so they are water, sweat and dust resistant, I took them to the gym and for an outdoor run and I did enjoy them.

Answering a call is just a push of a button and I also like how clear the voice comes to the other side of the call and on the other hand how well I can hear with them.

I like the Skullcandy application as well because I can customize the buttons on the earbuds and best of all I can customize the sound depending on what I am listening to.

The sound is much better than I expected, it is clear and they have good bass and not overwhelming.

Switching between two different devices is another good benefit because if I am working on my laptop and listening to what I am doing on it and I get a call, then I can switch the connection to answer the call I am getting on my phone. And I can also use one earbud or both, depending on my need.

I also enjoy the Stay Aware mode; it lets me listen to my music while I can hear the vehicles or surroundings on those outdoor runs.

Another thing to like is how well the instructions are given on how to use them.

I found myself pushing the buttons while holding the back of the earbuds since they are not soft touch, but I did not expect them to be soft touch due to their price.
And speaking of the buttons: they let you play, pause, answer and end call as well as volume up and down, track back and forward, in other words everything I need on my earbuds.

If you have any questions, either the app has the answer or their website as well so Skullcandy offers plenty of information on how to use them.

I am enjoying my Skullcandy Mod True Wireless Earbuds more than I thought.”

“I have purchase several wired/wireless Skullcandy earphones because they are the overall best value brand. Bought these to replace the EVO model as they were losing volume drastically.
These Mods' have more clarity albeit seems Skullcandy is less bass forward than previous models. These pair easier and range seems further. These have short stubby inner ear piece and you really have to struggle to get them inserted to where you get the best fit for best quality of sound.
Until earbud brands increase the range and sound equalization generally; I have resolved to place value over price. Skull candies are the best overall value.”

“I have two other sets of earbuds that I compared these to – Samsung Galaxy Buds+ and Bose Quiet Comfort. These are about half the price of the Samsung buds, and fraction of the price of the Bose buds. I guess for the price, they are okay, but they are nowhere near the sound quality of even either the Samsung or Bose buds. These Skullcandy buds lack any sort of bass response, and even the frequencies they do reproduce sound tinny. I guess you get what you pay for in terms of sound quality, but also, they lack other features like wireless charging for the case. And the case is fairly large.

On a positive note, they are very easy to use. They paired flawlessly and the battery in both the buds and the case lasts a long time. They are comfortable, too. I was able to get a great fit in my ear and they felt secure. The app has a lot of setting to help tailor the sound and functionality, but that still does not help with the lack of low-frequency sound reproduction. Overall, these are acceptable given the price, but personally I’d spend a little more and get better sound quality.”

“I've been a lifelong Skullcandy fan, so was super excited to see these wireless buds at such an affordable price. Yes, my wallet allowed me to actually spoil myself.

I read the instructions, charged them up downloaded the app, and took them for their first outing the next morning.
Well, that's where disappointment became my top emotion for the day.
Despite the superior sound quality, the excellent bass, the clear stereo and the in app options to choose between aware and not aware. That's all the fun I got out of these.

The connectivity was shocking. My phone was in my jeans pocket, the bluetooth had a terrible time. So to circumvent the problem, I moved my phone to my coat pocket. Of course this meant better connectivity, but now my phone was on a death wish. Even turning my head to simply check the traffic before crossing the road, resulted in momentary disconnect.

The controls are also pretty painful, no amount of double tapping, single tapping or long holding could convince me that this model has this function, no matter how I fiddled with the settings.

Trying to make the best of a bad situation, I attempted the ol turn the bluetooth off, and turn it on again. Same problem. Reset the phone? The Problem persisted. I even removed them from my bluetooth and then reconnected. No. Nothing.

In the end, I'm returning these. The sound is phenomenal, and I honestly loved it. But the constant hokey-pokey nature of the bluetooth, has made me question my sanity. On top of that, my wallet can't handle another attempt from my phone. Maybe I'll save up a bit and go for a better model, or maybe I'll just go back to my favourite the Hesh.”

That's some of the user reviews compiled of Skullcandy Mod True Wireless Earbuds. Get 4.3 points out of 5 points, which is enough to show that it is a good earbuds. Users are satisfied with its sound quality, noise reduction ability and cost performance. Because of its waterproof performance, it can be used in many scenes, such as commuting, traveling and so on.
