“Only tried one other set of underwater headphones, and they did not fit properly and would not stay in. These worked great and have never once come out or allowed water to distort sound quality. Sound the same whether I’m under water or out of the water. They come with a bunch of different interchangeable ear pieces (small, medium large, hard, soft, different styles). I found the ones that came already in the headphones to work perfectly, but I assume someone with a differently shaped ear canal would find one in this set that fits. The sound quality is very good, but not as good as I’m used to with higher-end headphones that are not made to go under water. For all I know, these have the best sound of underwater headphones, but all I have to compare them to is my normal headphones I wear when running, etc.”

“Out of the box, these are the best underwater headphones I have found, and I have tried several. My most recent purchase is actually my second set. The first set lasted about 7 months before the right channel began to fizzle out. The wire at the entry to the jack was shorting out. I had to keep fiddling with it to get a connection. Perhaps it got jostled around in my gym bag too often, not sure. That said, I loved them enough to buy another set. I will try to be more attentive to their handling and care.”

“These are the real deal. As a self-described cheap person, the price intimidated me. But after reoccurring ear problems from water seeping into my ears from cheaper underwater earphones, I thought I’d suck up the price if it improved my ear health. Additionally, the special price for buying an ipod+earphones enticed me even more. Welp…so far so good…

I did have one earbud fall out of my ear on my last swim, but I blame myself for breaking the initial seal. Some dude in the pool but me in conversation jail and I had to pull out the earphones to hear him. Seriously, my best advice is that you try not to break the initial seal. So avoid eye contact with talkers once they are in….But I digress.

The sound quality is great! I am happy I invested in this great product. Worth every penny!!!!”

“I have been using these for a few weeks now and overall I am very pleased. I swim an hour a day two days a week and it can get really, really boring. The music is a big help and the time passes more quickly now. Like some other reviewers, I would like it if these came in different sizes so they would fit closer to the back of my head. I also like to clip the iPod to the headphones so they are basically a one piece unit to put on and take off (see picture), but the band is a little thick for this so it would be nice if there were a flat spot or indentation where the iPod could clip on. Overall, I am really pleased with the sound quality and the fact that the drudgery has been removed from my swimming.”

“I was very excited to get these, opened the box and started switching the ear buds for ones I thought would work for me. Unfortunately I managed to snap one of the small plastic lugs — very disappointed as I hadn’t even tried them. Probably pullling on the plastic rather than the silicone ear bud. I emailed Underwater Audio directly (with photos!) and they were brilliant — put an entirely new set in the post for me without me even needing to return the old set. I said I only needed the headset part, but they replace my the whole set including all the ear buds and case too. Now that is great service!!!! I’m being a bit more careful with the new set and have had no problems getting the ear buds on and off now….”

“Excellent product. I purchased the Finis Duo before and had to actually sent it back shortly after the purchase, because the product failed to charge. I got a new product by Finis, only to experience same issue after a while. One must constantly struggle with the charging adapter, for it to work, often without success.

The Hydro Active Waterproof Headphones does not have this charging problem. Additionally, the overall sound is much clearer. It also gives a better base sound. Moreover, when swimming the sound is equal if your head is underwater or lifts up from the water. This is another advantage that it has over the Finis Duo. I find myself now swimming longer and enjoying the process better.”

“I’m on my second pair of these. The first pair became faulty within a year of purchase so Underwater Audio replaced them with another pair. This pair has lasted about 2 years but have now given up the ghost. I have looked after them and even kept them in a tupperware box, once dried out to prevent any damage to them when in my swim bag. But alas, they have given up. I am loathe to purchase another pair, but need to be able to listen to books on my Delphin. Very frustrating.”

“I have swum over 100 miles with these in combination with the underwater audio iPod shuffle during the last 16 months. I could not be more satisfied. I also use them while running and cycling indoors. I am pleased with the sound quality. There is plenty of volume. They stay in my ears, seal out the water, and the volume and sound is the same above and below the water. I clip the iPod to my goggles and find no need for readjustment even up to 2mi. There are plenty of earbuds that come with it, so I had no trouble fitting one to my smaller ears.

I am unable to wear a swim cap with them, but it is so worth it as a triathlete.”

“I love these head phones! I also really liked the hydromy pair I was previously using. However I think the hydroactives are even better and well worth the extra money if you plan on using them daily to s swim laps. Also I love the case they come with! Most important they come from a company called Underwater audio. The staff was so helpful and helped me choose the right headphones for my needs. They promptly answered my emails before and after purchase to offer assistance for both my purchases. Very very pleased! Makes your water fi even better!”

“I was totally disappointed with these headphones and not worth the price at all. I would never buy them again. I haven’t even tried in the water yet, and the headphones don’t work — only one side is working and stereo goes in and out. They are also very uncomfortable. Can’t imagine wearing them in the water.”

The above is the real user review of Underwater audio hydroactive waterproof headphones, which shows that it is a good product. However, it still has some problems, It is linear, and if you want to use it while swimming, you must match it with an MP3 player. Its in-ear design is easy to cause discomfort to the ears after long-term wear.If you expect to find a swimming audio device suitable for swimming and daily life in the market, then Wissonly Hi Runner bone conduction headphone for swimming, which is comfortable to wear and easy to use, and has both MP3 mode and Bluetooth mode, deserves your consideration.

Wissonly’s team has been researching headphone products that don’t hurt the ear as early as 10 years ago and introduced bone conduction technology into the field of headphones. Their products have powerful performance, high-cost performance, and are very strong in core performances such as sound quality, sound leakage reduction, and waterproof level.

Since it is a audio device for swimming, its waterproof performance will not let you down. The waterproof performance of Hi Runner swimming bone conduction earphone reaches the IPX8 level of the industry standard, and the wearer can work normally while swimming or diving, not to mention being sweat-proof or generally waterproof.

In terms of fit and comfort, the whole frame of Wissonly Hi Runner is made of adjustable aviation grade titanium steel, which can adapt to different sizes of head circumference and ensure the stability of wearing. Its earphone surface is made of high-tech low-sensitivity silicone material, which contains no chemical components to avoid allergic phenomena. The overall touch of the earphone is as silky as baby’s skin, avoiding uncomfortable situations when worn for a long time. Moreover, its weight is very light, less than 30g, and it will not feel heavy when worn. As the flagship model of outdoor sports of Wissonly brand, it is the most comfortable and cost-effective one among all bone conduction at present.

It is also equipped with 32G body memory, which can store 5,000 songs, and supports Bluetooth and MP3 working modes. You can use it as a Bluetooth MP3 player for underwater sports or scenes without a mobile phone.

The overall function of Hi Runner is also the most perfect. In terms of sound quality, this bone conduction earphone uses the latest research results of wissonly laboratory, which increases the vibration area of the vibrator by 35%. At the same time, it also optimizes the sound transmission direction to make the sound more concentrated and the music more spatial, and it has a good performance in both high and low notes.

Wissonly has made a lot of efforts to reduce its sound leakage. Its all-wrapped design reduces the vibration of the shell, and through structural optimization, the sound waves of the sound leakage are cancelled, thus avoiding 90% of the sound leakage. Wissonly Hi Runner’s sound leakage performance is much better than that of the same gear bone conduction headphones on the market.
