“There just is no perfect way to listen to music while lap swimming. Always trouble with earbuds staying in place and with connections working lose. However, I have tried 4 or 5 headphones and 4 or 5 mp3 players and the best combination I have come across are these headphones and the Syryn mp3 player. I have used this combo about 6 months now and it is less hassle than any others I have tried. Also, listen to the voice of experience that says try several different sized ear buds before deciding which ones will work best.”

“I've been swimming with these for a couple of weeks now and have some observations.

Good n bad

1) These are the first pair of underwater headphones I've used that stay sealed in my ear for the most part. The other pair of underwater audio ones I've had often had issues with my right earbud falling out or unsealing. This is probably the fault of my ear as other headphones do this, too. On these headphones, the plastic arch pushes the buds into my ears. I don't wear a cap, so this has been incredibly helpful. However, if you DO wear a cap, it might be too much pressure. Your milage may vary.

2) The sound is good. However, due to the better seal, they tend to be too loud when my head is out of the water.

3) You know that sound you get with earbuds when the cord rubs against your clothes? That's not the issue here. However, the plastic seems to amplify the water sound when you're swimming. You especially notice this if one of the earbuds fails to seal correctly. This could also be why I have to turn up the volume.

4). I occasionally seem to touch the plastic with my shoulders when swimming. This doesn't affect anything, just an observation.

5) It works best with the plastic lower on the neck.

6) Just like the other headphones, the water pressure of flip turns will occasionally knock out the sound until you get closer to the surface.

7) It still takes me awhile to get a good seal, but once I get it, it usually stays for the duration of my swim.

8) Sometimes the plastic hurts my ears a bit, but it's worth it for the music all swim.

Overall, I like these way better than the other, slightly less expensive pair due to the seal I get and that fact it stays put in my ears once I get the seal to work. Are they perfect? No. But they have been the best pair of swim headphones for me. If you wear a cap, it might be a better bet to use the less expensive ones.”

“Upgrading from some Diver headphones, these fit extremely well (after changing the right side to the larger tree plug provided) and stay in. I am confident that these headphones will not move during my 1+ hour swim sessions, and I am very happy that I got these. Lap swimming is so much more fun, and now I can swim until I get exhausted rather then until I get bored.

However, I have to admit the sound quality is rather low. Don't get me wrong, these headphones are still serviceable for playing music, but the sound does sound slightly muffed and lacking in the low frequencies (and yes, this is when I put them into my ears completely dry). This is a sacrifice I can accept for being able to listen to music underwater confidently.

Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. Side node though, make sure to regularly soften your ear wax and gently rinse with water to prevent buildup. Putting these long plugs in your ears will definitely expedite wax buildup.”

“Item is flimsy and made of poor quality material. Purchase on 30 Jun and today July 11th I was replacing the earbuds and the connector where the ear piece goes broke in my hand.

UPDATE:

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD. RECEIVED NEW HEADPHONES FROM AMAZON AND AS I AM SITTING AT THE LOCKER ROOM I GO TO REMOVE THE HEADPHONES FROM MY EARS AND THEY BREAK AGAIN. 2ND ONE IN LESS THAN ONE MONTH. NOT BUYING THIS GARBAGE AGAIN”

“I tried several other lesser priced headphones and found them to be pretty much useless. I purchased this headphone in July and have used them almost every other day since. They are just the best. The ease of use, comfort and sound quality are exceptional. However, I am hard on them (just toss them in my swim bag when I’m done swimming) and I lost sound in the left earpiece. I contacted Customer Service through Amazon. I received new headset in about a week. I didn’t expect replacement to be as easy and quick as it turned out to be. To be honest, I was concerned about the purchase price but found that the product and Customer Service were well worth it.”

“I've tried about 10 different headphones for swimming; all of them either leaked or were falling out. I guess my ear canals refused to follow the evolution theory of Darwin and remained primitive. But finally I found something that even worked for me. I've been swimming with these amor about 2 years. These headphones have a very nice snuggle and comfortable fit, they don't leak or fall out after 45 mins swim in endless pool (I haven't tried them in a lap pool). The only peculiar thing is I found that if I wear them in proper orientation (that is left channel to left ear) I couldn't hear anything out of the left bud! However, when I reverse them and wear them "upside down" with right ear channel in the left ear, the sound is perfect and the buds still don't fall out. Short cord doesn't interfere with strokes or get tangled up.

These come with a myriad of different shapes and size buds, extension cord and very nicely packaged.

Overall I'm extremely satisfied with these - I think the money is well spent.”

“I purchased a set of Hydroactive Waterproof Headphones, along with a waterproof iPod, last June and have been very happy with them. I use them while swimming laps, which I do several times a week, and have also used them when working out on the eliptical and shooting baskets, as they stay firmly in place, sound good and are impervious to sweat.

Last month, I noted that one of my earphones started cutting out. Soon, it stopped working completely. I wrote to Underwater Audio, (UA), last week and asked them if my headphones were still under warranty. They wrote back prompty, asking that I perform a few simple troubleshooting steps, saying that, if these failed, they'd send along a new set of headphones, at no cost.

The replacement headphones arrived today; I was not charged for the headphones or shipping. UA not only replaced my headphones, they gave me a new case and all of the various earphone tips that come with it. I love it when companies are this generous and responsive with their customers.

I wholeheartedly recommend Underwater Audio's headphones, waterproofed iPod and the company itself. :-)”

“These are great. Absolutely worth the price. I don't think I've ever rated something 5 stars. The previous earphones I had just couldn't stayed sealed within my ear and I was needing to adjust and press in and re-insert every couple of laps. Now I can swim my full 100 lap workout and never need to stop and mess with these. Also, now getting much more volume out of these. For previous earphones, I had the MP3 player volume cranked all the way to maximum and it just wasn't loud enough. But these are booming! The sound quality is really good, nice strong base, and it doesn't sound tinny or muffled. It is so nice to have good motivating music while swimming - it really makes the workout go along faster and more enjoyable. My mp3 player was relatively inexpensive and simple. Its a Aerb 4G waterproof MP3 player. It clips nicely to the back loop and the whole setup is unnoticeable during laps, turns and push-offs - no drag, no flopping.”

“The first time I tried it out of water, and it sounded great, then I tried one of the earbuds but when I was swimming my laps the sound kept going on and off on either side. I got worried that I'd have to return it right away. Then I went back home totally frustrated and tried all the earbuds in the different sizes. I finally found ones that seemed to fit the best and ever since then it's been perfect and no more sound going on and off. I also like how the ear buds stay on the posts tightly and don't come off in my ear canals.”

“I wanted to like these. The whole idea seems great with the wires all encased. My last iPod housing with attached headphones lasted almost 7 years with awesome sound but eventually the one side gave up. I thought these would be a great alternative since the wires would not have a chance to bend as they were in the plastic casing. I used these a few times before the plastic that holds the ear pieces broke off with the earpiece while changing them. I was very gentle this seems like a material flaw. Unfortunately I am going to have to send them back. For the times i did use them I found the sound to be awesome and didn't have much water leakage but after about 30 mins of training my ears were very sore . I never did find the perfect fit earpiece but with the pain I experienced I wonder if there is a perfect fit for me. I guess I will never know !”

Through the real user review of Hydroactive waterproof headphones, it can be seen that it is a good product for swimming. However, its disadvantages are also obvious. It is a wired audio device, which means it needs to be matched with MP3 if you want to use it in swimming or other scenes. And its wearing way is in-ear, which easily leads to ear discomfort after wearing for a long time. Therefore, a pair of swimming headphones is a good choice if you want to listen to any audio you want during swimming or daily exercise. Therefore, if you want to find a audio device that is more comfortable to wear and more free to use, Wissonly Hi Runner bone conduction headphone with MP3 and Bluetooth modes is a good substitute.

Hi Runner is a bone conduction headphone. The advantage of this type of headphone is that the ears are free and you can hear the surrounding noise. Safe, light, comfortable, sound quality, easy to use... It is really an ideal headphone for swimming and daily life.

Wissonly is the fastest-growing brand in the past six months. Their team is a technical expert in the field of bone conduction headphones. As early as 10 years ago, it began to develop bone conduction headphones that do not hurt the ears. With the excellent bone conduction vibration unit optimization scheme, it has been recommended by many ear doctors and has been recommended by many YouTuber.

Since it is a bone conduction headphone for swimming, its waterproof performance will not let you down. The waterproof performance of Hi Runner swimming bone conduction earphone reaches the IPX8 level of the industry standard, and the wearer can work normally while swimming or diving, not to mention being sweat-proof or generally waterproof.

Wissonly is a wireless bone conduction headphone with Bluetooth and MP3 modes. You can use the Bluetooth mode when you are in a place with a Bluetooth signal, and you can use the MP3 mode in places where it is not convenient to carry a mobile phone such as underwater sports. They are also very powerful in MP3 mode. They have 32G built-in memory and can store 5000 songs. Their battery life is strong, and they can listen to music for 10 hours, which makes up for the disadvantages of wireless headphones.

In terms of fit and comfort, the overall frame of the Wissonly Hi Runner is made of adjustable aviation-grade titanium steel, which can adapt to different sizes of head circumference and ensure the Fit and comfort of wearing. The surface of their headphones is made of high-tech hypoallergenic silicone material, which does not contain chemical ingredients to avoid allergies. The overall touch of the headphones is as silky as a baby's skin, which avoids uncomfortable situations when worn for a long time. And they are very light, less than 30g, and they will not feel heavy when worn.

Due to the special technical principle of bone conduction headphones, it is more difficult to improve the sound quality. The Wissonly Hi Runner subverts the traditional sound quality solution and uses a large wire-frame vibration unit as a breakthrough. Through structural optimization, the effective vibration area is increased, so that the sound has a good performance in both treble and bass.
