“I used the wire cutter reviews to purchase and have been using them for the last six or so months. I use them when I run - about 3miles at a time - they stay put and the sound quality is great. They don’t fully cancel noises which I prefer as I like to stay alert while on the road. The buttons on the earpiece are a little clumsy. Volume up works fine but volume down is finicky and often won’t work at all. I can’t figure out how to skip a song despite the fact that I believe this is an included feature. All in all, these fulfill all my sport headphone needs.”

“I'm a runner, and I care for a headset which does not fall off or need constant re-seating while running. The behind the head band design is excellent, and ensures this stay in your ears while vigorous running (I'm talking 8MPH+).

As several reviewers noted, this headphone is designed to let in a certain amount of ambient noise. This is another plus for a runner (gotta be aware of cars and other moving things).

It is also water resistant, meaning sweat proof. Most decent sports headphones have this, but get this. A few weeks ago, by accident, I threw the headphone along with dirty running clothes into the washer. It completed the full wash cycle (wash, rinse, spin, detergent). It survived, and still works. Right after the washing, it worked, but sound was not quite right. Bass was virtually gone. But after letting it sit for several days (to dry), it was working back again as before.. but cleaner. Amazing.”

“I really liked these while they lasted. I used them pretty rigorously for a couple years in just about every non-water sport you can think of. Battery life was always pretty good, sound quality was fine, good sweat resistance during prolonged periods of intense physical activity.

Alas, they have finally clunked out and no longer hold a charge. What would have been a five star review comes down to three because I thought I paid maybe just a few extra dollars for something that would last longer.”

“I am a big fan of the Plantronics brand. I bought a living room helmet that has an excellent quality/price ratio already a few years ago. This 2100 is my 2nd Plantronics sports helmet. It is perfect for sports, the sound is remarkable, the battery life is very good 3 to 4 hours at least. The fit in the ears is comfortable. No problem connecting with my Tom Tom Adventure watch And the price of €40 is simply amazing. 9 days to receive it from the United States. On the other hand, “little bad” surprise at the post office with €11 in customs fees. So if Amazon makes a move to reimburse these fees, I will be the happiest customer. It is still a good deal despite everything. Thanks Amazon. And thank you New York.”

“These Plantronic wireless sport headphones my be a bit on the expensive side but they're worth every penny. First, they are the best sport headphones I've yet had. They are imminently comfortable around the ear, made of a pliable poly material that can be worn for extended periods with ease. The ear pieces are likewise a snug, comfortable fit that will not tax the soft cartilage of the ear. Second, they stay in place though the most intense activity, exactly what I would look for in a sport headphones. There's no excess length of the type I've experienced with other wirelesses that might drape too long down the back of the neck and risk getting entangled with exercise equipment or just twisted up in my bag. The sound quality is outstanding -- warm base, clear articulation of instruments and vocals and as I also listen to audio-books during some of my activities, of the spoken voice as well. I'd go so far as to say that they compare favorably to some of the most expensive headphones on the market. The controls are integrated into the outer sides of the ear buds making for ease of control volume, on/off and advance/reverse features through tapping on the designed area of these buds without breaking your rhythm or stride during your workouts or runs. They also have excellent noise reduction, blocking out most outside noise; however, I always advice potential users of this kind of project to remember that superior noise-blocking also brings with it less awareness of one's surrounding, especially important to keep in mind if you use them where you have traffic or otherwise have reason to stay alert while running or exercising. They poly material is strong and promises long use, while the connection with a smart phone was quick and virtually effortless. These Plantronics are great!”

“I've had them for two years now. These are my favorites. These are simply the best running or gym headphones I've ever bought. They remain on the ears, the sound is good, the pile lasts a long time. All the others I've tried, I end up having to put them back in my ear, I can't just relax and run or train.

There are disadvantages for those who care

- I wouldn't buy if sound quality was your priority. They're not bad. My Bose are better, but I have cheaper ones that are worse.

- They don't protect the external sound well, but when I run, I prefer to have an external consciousness. Sometimes it's awkward at the gym if the gym plays its own music.

- They tend to turn on too easily when stored and will not automatically turn off if not in use. I have often found that my phone has connected to them unexpectedly and this can flatten the drummer unexpectedly.

However, if you are running or practicing a sport in which you move a lot, then you want to buy these sports headphones.”

“After owning a pair of the previous generation of these, very disappointed.

Comfort: Great, same awesome open ear fit the precious generation had.

Battery: When I bought these, they lasted 6 hours out of the 8 advertised. After a few months, the most I could get out of them was 3-4 hours.

Usability: TLDR: I lost a few buttons, and they didn't work as well. The touch controls take a moment to kick in. More often then not, I would touch my ear, wait a second, not notice anything happen, then touch it again; just in time to pause what I'm listening to as it starts playing. I miss the physical buttons a lot. After a period of time, they were like second nature, and I could use it without thinking, and they reacted instantly.

Sound: The sound was similar to my last pair, so no real complaints there. I did see some other reviews state they had a hissing sound. I didn't experience it myself, but wouldn't surprise me.

Overall, not bad, but I would take others over these, unless you're looking for a sport oriented version of earbuds.”

“In all, there is light and shadow in the Backbeat Fit 2100 from Plantronics. The seat is actually safe and good, even with faster/intensifying workouts. However, this can be felt differently by different wearers, especially since the ear pads sit in front of the ear canals. The processing of the headphones is consistent and easy to use. Multipairing and app configuration are not a matter of course in the price range. The awareness function of the headphones is practical in use, as you are not completely isolated from the environment. However, the backbeats are buzzing in the sound quality. The music is low in bass, there is no volume. In addition, there is a quite clear background noise, which is not quite as dramatic in sports, but nevertheless stands out negatively.”

“The Plantronics BACKBEAT FIT 2100 Bluetooth - Sport headphones don't sound outstanding but balanced for my taste. The wearing comfort is very good. Especially when running, they stay where you place them on your ear. Vibrations are no problem. Absolutely recommended for sport.

The sound could be a bit more voluminous, but that's a matter of taste. I like the headphones for pop music. They are also well suited for listening to audiobooks.

The headphones are waterproof. If they fall into a puddle, that's no problem. Of course, rain is no drama for the headphones. They are fine even after swapping in water.

If you wear it for walking on the street, you can easily hear the surrounding sounds. You can hear the noise from the street and therefore travel safely.

The Bluetooth connection to the smartphone works very well. If I leave the smartphone somewhere in the gym, the connection to the headphones doesn't break off, even if I'm training on a machine 10 meters away.

The promised 7 hours of battery life are realistic.”

“I've had a pair of the original BackBeat Fit headphones for over 3 years. I only bought these as sometimes recently the bluetooth will cut out and the battery doesn't last as long as it used to. After reading reviews I assumed these were just a slight upgrade and all would be great again. I was wrong.

The sound is pretty much the same but I would say the highs are slightly clearer. The new buttons are finicky and there's also a delay when you use them (I have a Pixel 3 so I'm fairly certain it's not my phone. That and my old set don't have the same delay). The volume touch sensitive control is annoying but I'm probably just not used to it. They do look pretty sleek though.

My main issue with these is the rubber is stiffer than the old set and yes, the cable between is a fraction shorter. Unfortunately for my large head this just adds to the problem and they keep popping out of my ears frequently whilst doing sports. I found myself constantly adjusting them. I had my old pair on me and ended up switching back to them halfway through my second outing with the new 2100s as I was just getting annoyed. Going back to my old set reinforced that I wasn't imagining things as they stayed in my ears fine for the rest of my time at the gym.

So I'm either going to end up getting the redesigned same model as my old ones or something else entirely. It's a shame as I've always liked my old pair.”

Through the real user review of Plantronics backbeat fit, it can be seen that it is a good sports headphone, but it also has shortcomings, such as not comfortable enough to wear andits touch screen control is inconvenient to use, especially after sweating during sport. There are many sports headphones in the market, and the most comfortable design is bone conduction headphones, because it is not plug into your ear. Therefore, if you want to find a sports earphone with a more comfortable wearing experience, Wissonly Hi Runner sports bone conduction headphone is a good substitute.

r/HeyNewGadget - Sports headphones:Plantronics backbeat fit review

This is the fastest growing brand of bone conduction headphones in the last six months. The team are all engineers with 10 years of accumulation in the field of bone conduction technology. They started to develop bone conduction headphones that don't hurt ears as early as 2012. To solve the problem of sound leakage of bone conduction headphones, wissonly has made comprehensive improvement in the aspects of vibrator, body design and software optimization. The final result has been applied to Wissonly Hi Runner, and the final sound leakage can be reduced by 90% after laboratory test. I actually used the test myself. At a distance of 2cm, the volume reached 70%, but I still didn't hear the sound of the headphones, which protected privacy.

Wissonly Hi Runner’s body is made of titanium, which can self-adjust the fitting position to ensure a good wearing experience for headphones, so that more people can wear it. Hi Runner sports bone conduction headphones are open-eared and worn directly on the temples, so your ear canal is completely open, which makes it easy for you to hear the sound of cars and traffic lights outdoors in sports scenes such as running and walking, making you safer to use.

As the core component of the product, the headphones plays a key role in the product experience. Hi Runner model is equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 chip, which makes Bluetooth connection faster and more stable. It also has 32GB of built-in storage so you can use it as an MP3 player.

Other parameters of Wissonly Hi Runner are also excellent. For example, the waterproof level reaches IPX8, and you can wear it to swim or even dive. The battery life reaches 8-10 hours, which is very important to me, because I go out for sports on weekends, and I go out for a whole day.
