So what is its practical sense of use? Only people who have used it know. Therefore, this article sorts out some real user reviews of WH-CH520 for reference.

“Some things you should know before buying:

  1. You will have to download an app when you first connect it. The app is free is no worries. After you can delete it because it’s connect by itself ever since.

  2. The sound is loud but if you like it really loud then maybe not.

  3. It’s super uncomfortable to wear. I get headaches just from wearing it. Also if you have really big ears, I don’t recommend as the headphones are really small. If you also wear glasses, I don’t recommend either, as it really hurts.

Overall this product is great but it’s super uncomfortable to wear. Based of the price and it being a well known brand, it’s not that bad but if you’re planning on wearing this for a while I don’t recommend. I use this for the gym so it doesn’t slide off while doing exercises.”

“I ordered this because I needed a simple Bluetooth headset, these were on sale and by a reputable (although declining, it seems) brand. I'm not a music aficionado and sound quality in these seems perfectly adequate to me. I had a comparable JBL headset before and their sound was just terrible on Bluetooth.

What I love is that these are (a) available in colors other than black (which makes it easy to spot mine in our multi-headset household) and (b) extremely comfortable. I use these when playing PC games and after several hours don't feel even slightest discomfort. They are very light and don't weigh on your head or squeeze your ears. At the same time, they provide reasonable insulation from the noise like pesky family member asking what's for dinner. Very happy with this headset and just wish it had a longer charging cord. Otherwise it's perfect.”

“Initially bought the blue because it looked so pretty in the pictures, but irl the color was disappointing (it was darker than the photo depicted) so I swapped to white.

I use these for work, gym, walks, and even around the house! I love these headphones! The battery lasts longer than I expect it to, the Bluetooth range is pretty great, and they're comfortable. My ears eventually start hurting a bit, but that's with any pair of headphones after wearing them for a while.”

“I would give these like a 8/10. The sound is very clear and the battery life is pretty amazing. I’ve only had it for 2 days and I love them. I just wish they were a little more noise canceling but you can always find those somewhere else. These are cute and simple. It even comes with an app which i thought was cool. I haven’t tried the 360 Reality Audio yet and not sure what it is but if i look into then my score might change!”

“I bought this pair of headphone because I wanted a pair of over-the-ear headphones for the gym. My requirements were that they were cheap enough that I could toss them around, tight fitting so the wouldn't fall off at the gym, and noise cancelling enough that I could listen to an audiobook or music at the gym and still be able to understand the words.

I am pleasantly surprised by how great these headphones are. I have a very nice pair of over-the-ear Sonys that I use when I'm not getting all sweaty, but these measure up to those suprisingly well. They stay on well at the gym without crushing my ears (and without bothering my cartilage piercings). I can do RDLs, rows, and bench without them falling off.

The most amazing part is the battery life. I have charged them once since I got them, and they're still at 75% battery. I literally don't understand how that is possible. It's like they're solar powered or something. I swear the battery life goes up instead of down.

Overall, these are a great purchase for an easy and convenient pair of headphone for the gym or around town. I wouldn't recommend them for hours of listening, as they do squish your ears over time, but they're great for an hour or two of gym time. My only other complaint is that they don't fold up or come with a case, but they're cheap enough and sturdy enough that they can be banged around a little in your bag.”

“I ordered these headphones and received them rather quickly which was good. When I opened the box they were in it’s own box and when I opened the headphones box I immediately saw the rips on the one side. The headphones were also very lightweight some what like a toy headphone.

Very poor quality headphones. Also, the refund had to many steps to do, it was not a easy drop off and go type of thing. I won’t be ordering from this seller again.”

“I was looking for an on-ear headphones and I was intrigued by the reviews and the price for these ones. Over the ear headphones are heavy and gets so hot and uncomfortable when you're doing something active like working out at a gym. These on-ear headphones lets me hear the music clearly and be aware of my surroundings because they're not noise canceled out. It's light, super amazing battery life, and so easy to use. I do have to be careful when I pack these, they're not foldable but you can turn the earpieces so it is flatter.

The no-plastic waste packaging was greatly appreciated and well thought out. A guy says these are great for kids, so maybe check the measurements before you buy. I guess I have small ears, so the ear cups give just the right amount of coverage.”

“It took some tweaking of my phones EQ settings in order to get these Sony headphones sounding good, but now that I have, I'm happy with them, especially considering the price.

The bass is good and pretty punchy, the midrange is good, but I'm a little disappointed in the high end sound. I like the sound of a good cymbal smash and I found this to be a little lacking.

The stereo separation is excellent!

The headphones also fit well and they are very comfortable!

The app is also easy to use.

Obviously I can't compare these to $100+ headphones, so I feel that at this price point you will be getting good sounding casual headphones that will be perfect for taking on vacation or wearing to the gym!”

“I had low expectations for these headphones, but I was proven wrong when I gave it a try. The sound is so crispy and the bass is amazing. It came really fast (1 day after I ordered them), it was already charged. The battery lasted so long and it only took around 2 hours to recharge it. The only CON is that after some time it hurts your ears a little, but I did use them for a really long time. I wasn't disappointed at all. I can't wait to use it in the gym. DON'T WALK, RUN TO GET IT”

“These don’t hold battery life at all. I have to have it live on the charger when I’m not using it. I like to keep mine in my gym bag and not think about it but I don’t have the luxury with these. I would fully charge them, check that it’s at 100%, then within a day or two they will be dead whether I used them or not (and yes I made sure to turn them off between uses). It’s very frustrating and I’ve stopped using them completely because it’s too stressful to stay on top of.”

These are some real user reviews of Sony WH-CH520 headphone. Generally speaking, most users are satisfied with its cost performance. However, it is not without its shortcomings, such as its on-ear design isn't for everyone, the headphones are too bulky and inconvenient to carry and so on.Therefore, if you expect to find a headphone with comfortable wearing and suitable for various scenarios,it is recommended that you try the emerging bone conduction technology headphone with zero burden to the ear -Wissonly Hi Runner.

r/HeyNewGadget - On-Ear Headphones for the gym: Sony WH-CH520 review

Wissonly's team has been researching headphone products that don't hurt the ear as early as 10 years ago and introduced bone conduction technology into the field of headphones. Their products have powerful performance, high-cost performance, and are very strong in core performances such as sound quality, sound leakage reduction, and waterproof level.

Hi Runner sports bone conduction headphones are open-eared and worn directly on the temples, so your ear canal is completely open, which makes it easy for you to hear the sound of cars and traffic lights outdoors in sports scenes such as running and walking, making you safer to use.

In terms of fit and comfort, the whole frame of Wissonly Hi Runner is made of adjustable aviation grade titanium steel, which can adapt to different sizes of head circumference and ensure the stability of wearing. Its earphone surface is made of high-tech low-sensitivity silicone material, which contains no chemical components to avoid allergic phenomena. The overall touch of the earphone is as silky as baby's skin, avoiding uncomfortable situations when worn for a long time. Moreover, its weight is very light, less than 30g, and it will not feel heavy when worn. After wearing it, I took it off at the end of the run. This Hi Runner didn't let me have any extra adjustment. As the flagship model of outdoor sports of Wissonly brand, it is the most comfortable and cost-effective one among all bone conduction at present.

When you sweat a lot when running or doing other sports, or when it suddenly rains when you run or exercise outdoors, then the waterproof performance of sports headphones is very important. As the flagship model of Wissonly, the waterproof grade of Wissonly Hi Runner Sports Bone Conductivity Headphone reaches IPX8 waterproof grade higher than the industry standard. It allows the wearer to work normally when swimming or diving, not to mention sweat prevention or ordinary waterproof.

It is also equipped with 32G body memory, which can store 5,000 songs, and supports Bluetooth and MP3 working modes. You can use it as a Bluetooth MP3 player for underwater sports or scenes without a mobile phone.

Hi Runner is the flagship product of Wissonly, and its overall function is also the most perfect. In terms of sound quality, this bone conduction earphone uses the latest research results of wissonly laboratory, which increases the vibration area of the vibrator by 35%. At the same time, it also optimizes the sound transmission direction to make the sound more concentrated and the music more spatial, and it has a good performance in both high and low notes.

Wissonly has made a lot of efforts to reduce its sound leakage. Its all-wrapped design reduces the vibration of the shell, and through structural optimization, the sound waves of the sound leakage are cancelled, thus avoiding 90% of the sound leakage. Wissonly Hi Runner's sound leakage performance is much better than that of the same gear bone conduction headphones on the market.
