“I bought these to replace my Bose Soundsports (the wired together kind) which stopped working and also fell out of my ears when I got really sweaty.

I use these on my exercise bike almost every day and I have had zero problems with them - they stay in snugly no matter how sweaty my workout gets. The sound is good for what I needed - I’d say my Bose ones sounded slightly better at first but I don’t notice any difference anymore. No issues with Bluetooth connections to my iphone or ipad. Good sport headphones!

UPDATE: Still really like these - one small issue is getting the headphones to turn off/charge in the case - sometimes I have to jiggle them around and I wish they were auto off once out of ears. But for the price I still think they’re a good value”

“I bought a pair of these because of online recommendations for workout earbuds. But my first pair worked for about a day, and then something happened (i don't know what), but the case got messed up so it started producing a lot of feedback when in ambient aware mode, but the earbuds were in the case. Then the earbuds would not turn on when i opened the case, unless the case was plugged in. I ended up getting a replacement pair, and so far so good. but I called customer support because i couldn't figure out how to remove the old profile from the JBL app. I couldn't find anything online about it. Customer service is clearly offshored. So the rep was hard to understand, and she couldn't understand me well either it seemed as if she had to constantly ask me to repeat the intake questions, which were pretty detailed, like what, when, where did you order from, what is the problem (asked 3 times), give me 3 forms of contact information, at which point, after about 10 minutes of intake, and still asking more demographic questions, all while being able to clearly hear what sounded like a party in the background, I asked her how much more information she'd need before we could get to the stated question, she hung up on me. I've worked customer support before and can understand how stressful the job can be. So I am usually pretty patient. but it was getting pretty bad as with each question she'd ask, she wasn't getting the answer correct, for example, she asked me 5 times what my surname was. is had to repeatedly tell her and spell out a 4-letter last name. Anyway, the customer service was so awful that I'm heavily considering returning the pair that works simply due to the poor customer service interaction, and writing off the brand completely.”

“This is closer to a 5 star rating but there are no increments between 4 and 5 and I tend to rely heavily on long battery life. Honestly, these buds are so good it's worth the minor trade off. Here is why:

I stopped using my Apple Airpod Pros when they failed after 9 months. Naturally, when I attempted to claim warranty work Apple told me they wouldn't honor the warranty because it was my fault, the buds got wet and that corrodes the connections. I run outdoors so that did not come as a surprise. That's when I found out the Apple product only has a water resistance of IPX 4. I set out to find a more water-resistant set and found the JBLs, which are rated so high that they are virtually waterproof. I was pleased to find that they sounded a lot better than any earbuds I've ever owned, had fantastic noise cancellation, ambient noise mode and talk-through. The best part was that, when combined with the app, the range of tonal control was virtually unlimited, including the ability to create and save your own personal EQ profiles. I absolutely love wearing these to the gym, running (even in the rain), biking and just putzing around the house. The one minor drawback is that 6 hours seems to be the maximum battery life. The good news is that the charging case recharges them relatively quickly. 4 & 3/4 Stars. Very happy customer here.”

Cons: It’s way too difficult to switch sources. I need headphones to pair with my watch for running, phone for general audio use, and iPad for conference calls. But I have to disconnect from all other sources in order to connect to something else and be able to utilize the app to change preferences. Even worse, I have to remove the headphones from my ear and put them back in the case to activate pairing mode. So to use them for workout, I have to disconnect my iPad, disconnect my watch, connect to my phone, switch to ambient aware, then re-connect to my watch. And put them back in the case each time. If they added a few buttons, I could pair and change preferences from the headphone. So annoying, I would return them if I could.”

“I was actually a little concerned about fit since I have had little luck with past ear buds and considering the price, reasonably so. I found thought that the fit was the best I had ever had with ear buds!

One drawback is the price. They don't come cheap. So was the high price worth it? Well, I found the sound to be better than most of the ear buds I have tried. That was a plus. As for the ambient sound vs noise reduction, there is a HUGE difference compared to the others! I was drving a loud noisy diesel truck and it had no bluetooth. Of course, even if it did, I probably wouldn't be able to hear it over the diesel noise that is so prevalent. The JBL Aeros overcame the noise with no problem.

I mentioned fitment. I have trouble getting ear buds to stay in my ear. And since these are waterproof, I was planning on using them at my workout so retention was critical. It took me a little effort to figure out how to get them to fit my ear properly. But once I did, they stayed unlike the others. They also have 3 different cups to fit various ear sizes.

Those plusses made them worth it to me. The reason I didn't give them 4 stars is the price. They are head and shoulders above the prices of any I have so far looked at. In fact, on average I would dare say double that of most ear buds. For me they were worth it. Others maybe not so much.”

“I have been using these on and off for the past few months and while they are overall easy to use, and well constructed I feel as if the biggest downside to them is the low max volume. No matter what I do I cannot get the volume to reach a level that works when I am mowing the lawn or workout outside. Which is my primary use case for most of these headphones (specifically with ANC). So while it will block the noise decently well (good seal + ANC function) the music isn't loud enough to hear the smaller details in the songs. Also bass performance is "just ok" compared to other headphones I have used.

The Mics are "decent" but nothing to write home about, I find that if I am in my open kitchen that the person on the other end of my phone call has trouble hearing me. So it seems to rely on the sound bouncing back off of walls or other items in order to be able to pick it up.

The good news is that they do stay charged; I went 1 month without using them and the case + headphones were still charged.

All in all I am not sure if I will keep these long term.”

“Despite this item being well reviewed here and elsewhere online, my experience was basically the opposite.

It's worth pointing out that the touch controls are not physical buttons and require your bare finger to operate. I couldn't get it to work with screen compatible gloves anyway.

You are also limited in the control options you have (i.e. you can control only two of the following via earbuds: noise cancellation, playback controls, and volume). You can reassign them via an app, which performed well and grants a good amount of EQ customization for what it's worth.

I've gone back to my previouss $30 pair of bluetooth earbuds that perform better, have better control, and can be reliably operated with gloves on.

Here's the full story: I used them periodically over a week or two and the Bluetooth connection was the worst I've ever experienced. I wore them for workout several times and the sound would frequently cut out. Once it got so bad it was cutting out every few seconds before I took them out and stuffed them in a pocket for the rest of the ride. Otherwise, it was generally fine putting around the house. Good noise cancellation, can't speak on battery life really. So, your mileage may vary, but consider the above.”

Setup: User manual is really helpful for the first time setup, it was pretty straightforward.

App support: Install JBL headphone app, it has great features like adjusting the noise cancellation, "find my earbuds" etc. It also guides how to select the ear tips size(L, M or S).

Good for: Daily use, Initially I was little skeptical that they will fall out easily, but now I even wear them during workout, dancing etc.; So far they haven't fallen.

“These are the best I've ever had! My ears are notorious for spitting out any kind of earbud no matter which size gaskets I use. This has an app that you MUST download, in my opinion! You dont HAVE to, JBL isnt forcing it on you, but it has so many helpful features from finding the tight fit, mapping your ear canal for noise cancellation efficiency, and my personal fave & most needed feature: find my buds. I have about 5 pairs of true wireless earbuds, wait, no I have 5 single buds of 5 different pairs. I've lost one from every pair. I truly hope this changes that!

I thought the sound was okay, sounded better than any others I've had. Then I decided to size down the tips and wings and all of the sudden the full range of sound came alive! There's actual bass, the sound is very full and dynamic! Nouse cancellation is good, but I am a huge fan of the Ambient Aware feature. I don't like to cut myself off from being aware of my surroundings in public so I usually just use one earbud. Well that leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to sound quality. Ambient Aware has a slider (in app) where you can control if it let's in more or less ambient noise so you know you aren't missing any important sounds in your environment. That's a brilliant feature in my opinion!

Overall, I absolutely would recommend these! I also would say if your pair dont give you the sound experience you hoped for, change sizes, play with the fit of the cups. It made all the difference for me! Dont forget to pull your earlobe down, insert bud, let go of earlobe, and twist till wings lock it in place. These sit IN the ear canal to form a seal, not just in the outer folds of the ear like normal earbuds.”

“Bought these to replace my Samsung Buds that a family member's dog chewed up. These are huge, even with the smallest ear bud attachments. If you have small ears, like me, they will not fit and will fall out under the lightest of activity. My wife tried them and they didn't fit her ears either.
