“I was thrilled with these. I had the Sony earbuds prior to these (which crapped out). I replaced the Sony buds with these. The sound and ANC is amazing - much better than the sony's. However, I began having connection issues - sometimes easily fixed, others requiring re-install. Once or twice ok but it can be annoying. I get to the gym - music blasting inside, lots of ambient noises - can't wait to insert these. But no ANC. No easy fix from at the gym. Very frustrating.”

“I bought these to use instead of my QC 2 over ear headphones at my desk because it’s too hot during the summer and I hate the way it sounds when a fan blows directly on me while wearing them, and to replace my cheap gym headphones which are Bluetooth earbuds with an annoying behind the head strap that always catches when I turn my head. Well, I haven’t tried them at the gym yet, but while working at my desk they are incredible so far. The noise canceling is amazing, better than the QCs! They’re super comfortable and I think might even sound better than the QuietComfort headset. Only minor complaints:

  1. The touch controls seemed inconsistent at first but now work fine

  2. Uses a different Bose iPhone app than the QCs

  3. Can only connect to one source at a time, unlike QCs.

So they may not 100% replace my QCs, but I didn’t intend for them to when I purchased them. They’re just so good I kind of wish they would. They probably will more often than not. 5 stars.”

“My wife just gifted me these lovely Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II, they are amazing. I am already a fan of Bose products, and these earbuds are quite exceeding my expectations. They are best in noise canceling, adjustable EQ, and adjustable aware mode.

They fit in my ear comfortably and don't drop during any workout. My music love has gone to another level, the best part is they are not annoying or uncomfortable for longer use. During calls, people can hear very well without disruption.”

“I’ve had many many earbuds and cans over the years, most of them mid- and high grade.

I tended to bypass Bose, being in the past disappointed by some of their product, mainly the sound quality. Then my wife handed down to me these earbuds, as she could not get them to fit her ears. I found the perfect fit for me immediately, thanks ti the ingenious separate ear tip and wing sizing option. Before I was focused on the “best audiophile sound”. The reality is that even with the best drivers, Bluetooth version, codec version, sound signature etc, that all falls apart if the ear seal isn’t good. So I had great top of the line buds, but they required constant readjustment to stay in. Especially in the gym, you go face up, or face down, or run, and you lose the seal. Or even if you munch on something, jaw movements cause the buds to wiggle out. Not with Bose QC ii. This is the first and so far the only pair of earbuds that I did not need to push in even once. Once in, they stay in, and are soooo comfortable!

Touch controls are fairly easy to learn and to use. I like the option in the app to program 2 additional noise cancellation modes, in addition to the standard “quiet “ and “aware”. And I slightly reduced the bass to my liking. True, in still environment my Sennheiser Momentum 2 sound quality is closer to audiophile level, but Bose QCii provides best fit for my ears and best noise cancellation, therefore they are my favorites now in most situations.

PS it is absolutely not true what some reviewers say, that QC ii will not work without the Bose app. I used it without the app with iPhone 11 and HP laptop, then I loaded the app for iPhone later, when I decided to keep them.”

“These were my first pair of wireless buds, and honestly in my many respects I was blown away. The noise cancellation was unreal, sound was very good, and they were a comfortable fit.

However, after picking up a pair of the Bose sport buds for the gym, I realised that the QC II buds were a little flawed with their fit.

The Bose sport buds come with StayHear Max tips. Once I found my size (2+, available on the Bose website), I absolutely loved the secure fit they provided - ultra stable.

By comparison, the QC IIs don't feel as `locked in` to the ears. They are ok, don't get me wrong. But I tried every size variation (including the extra sizes on the Bose site), but no matter what, my left earbud never felt truly secure. The bud never came out or anything, but I was always conscious of it compared to the right bud.

I then noticed that the Bose QC I buds, like the Sport buds, are fitted with the StayHear Max tips. I decided to return the QC IIs and pick up some the QC I buds instead.

I really can't fault the QC IIs, and it could just be that my ear shape is a bit difficult when it comes to earbuds, but it's a shame that Bose have moved away from the StayHear Max tips.”

“I purchased these directly from Bose website after exchanging these for their sport earbuds within 90 days. These are one of the best sounding most comfortable earbuds out there. The noise cancellation is superb. And the fit is comfortable for hours of use. I anticipate I'll be using these during work/gym/home. So battery life, whatever it is, isn't a consideration for me. But I am sure it is more than enough for me.”

“In short: They are simply amazing!

I’m honestly so impressed with it’s active noise cancellation.

In addition they also come with ear tips and ear wings in various sizes for the perfect fit.

They’re super comfortable and stylish to wear in the gym and indoors.

The touch control features are also a huge plus including volume control and play/pause.

Overall I love the comfort level, incredible sound, and best-in-class ANC system!”

“These Quiet Comfort Earbuds II from renowned audio brand Bose are just brilliant in their design, aesthetically and their clever engineering. I’ve been testing them out for a few days now and I’m genuinely impressed. They have a smart matching case that charges them within with the USB cable, a full case charge takes 3 hours for 6 hours of battery life, the earbuds take 1 hour. A quick charge takes just 20 minutes for 2 hours of battery life. The earbuds have 9 silicone pieces to tailor the earbuds to fit perfectly, though they look a little bigger than other brands of earbuds externally. They sound very clear, apparently adapting performance to suit your ears (did I mention how clever they are?) Obviously they’re wireless and Bluetooth and noise cancellation is excellent, though there’s also an ‘Aware Mode’ so when you need to hear what’s around you, you can hear background noise easily but not overly loud. Using the earbuds is straightforward, using taps, swipes, and presses to control music and phone calls, everything works as it should and they are comfortable to wear and stay in place, even when I’m using gym equipment. They’re water and sweat resistant. Very happy to recommend, they’re better than my previous premium earbuds yet cheaper than them too. I hope my genuine review is helpful to you, thank you for reading it.”

“Beautiful and full dynamic sound. Great product. Wish they were louder but they are earbuds trying to advertise a long lasting battery.

Do not try this at home!.. however I felt compelled to report that I ACCIDENTALLY washed the buds only, not the case, in a pocket of my shorts... and then fully dried them with my laundry. I was heartbroken! So much money waisted!

Wait, what? They still worked perfectly? Huh! Omg! Not sure if that would happen with a lesser brand or not but it worked out in my favor with these.”

“I read about the noise canceling and thought that this would be better than the AirPod pros that I had been using for two years. I have an Apple iPhone, and I feel that it is important to note how difficult the connection is despite having the app. When I already have the headphones connected and receive a call, the call will not be picked up on the headphones like it would be on the AirPod pros, you have to reconnect to the headphones every time and that is a nuisance. I have kept these for almost the entire two months before returning them because I really loved the sound quality, however, the Noise cancellation was not as great as the AirPod pros. The only benefit that these had over the AirPod pros was that the other person on the other side of the call if the noise cancellation was completely on, so they could not hear my surroundings, but I could hear everything around me , I love the music quality because it is so crystal clear but I am definitely disappointed with all of the different ear fittings which I have messed with endlessly trying to find a way to rationalize keeping a $300 pair of headphones if you have Apple P aware that there will be many connection issues, I have heard from others, who have androids, etc. that they do not have the same issues. I have use these at the gym and despite having tried all of the different ear tips, etc. I still still myself putting them back in my ear so they do not sit well in my ear canal with any of the combinations.

Sadly, I am returning these, and will be buying AirPod pros until those can work out their issues with Apple.”

However, it is not without its shortcomings, such as overpriced and in-ear design, which makes it uncomfortable and unstable to wear.
