“ I love these! great fit, there's not a lot of space in the back like other "normal" sized ones I've tried. sound quality is wonderful. 10/10 would absolutely recommend”

“I tried the regular shokz but they were way too big! These are awesome! I love wearing them to listen to audio books when I am working either in the house or in the garden. Sound quality is great! Functions are easy. Answers phone easily. I highly recommend these. I can wear them riding my bike and can still hear sounds around me too. They are very comfortable to wear. Battery lasts long time and charges quickly.”

“Loved these they had great sound and i could wear at work however they didn't last long. I kept them in a hard case because they are pretty thin and took care if them. I ordered mid April and it's the end of May and now all people hear is lots if static no matter where I am. For the amount of money I paid for these they should have lasted wayy longer I'm disappointed and the return window closed last week so I'm just at a $125 loss ouch!”

“These are possibly the best "ear buds" I've ever had. I wear these a lot at work and while running. It's great to be able to hear around you. Bone conducting works way better than I ever thought. If you want noise canceling options, I recommend JBL as those are the best (for me) as an inside the ear option. These are so great, both of my kids wanted a pair, and my step-father got a pair. His hearing isn't so great and admitted to actually being able to hear very clearly.”

“ Great headphones to enjoy music, podcasts, answering phone calls while still being able to hear what’s going on around you. Easy to pair and answer phone calls. I tried these on the golf course. They worked great! I could listen to my music and still hear what my playing partners were saying. I decided to wear them to work (in IT). I was able to listen to my podcasts or music and hear my desktop phone ringing or when my co-workers were talking to me. Great sound and the battery lasted through out my 8 hours work shift. This bone conducting technology is amazing! I couldn’t believe it when I first tried these out. My ears don’t hurt after work anymore from wearing my old earbuds.

These Shokz are making my earbuds obsolete. I am ordering another Open Run Mini to keep at work.

I ordered the mini because I like how the band rests on the back of my neck. Th other band stuck out too far for my liking.

Cons: While riding in the golf cart my buddy had his music playing through an external speaker. I could hear his music over mine. Not really a con, but these are not designed to be noise canceling if that is what you’re looking for but you will not be disappointed.

Thanks SHOKZ!!!”

“The sound is good. Haven't use it for too long yet, though. I read a lot, using audiobooks too. For moments, I even forget that Iam carrying it!! .

A HUGE PLUS, there is no risk to loose earplugs or pick it up from the floor. Less risk of ear infection. Definitely, a smart purchase. From now on...

... I am part of the SHOKS TEAM!!”

“This definitely is a change of speed for me. I love my headphones and electronic gadgets. I’m a Marathoner and I’ll use these during training and races. Just the right volume on max. I’m able to enjoy my music and hear everything around me. This technology will save a lot of people ear drums. I give them a Solid Go! Also if you put earplugs in while at work you can still hear. Solid technology…… the last sentence was for people who have to wear earplugs at work.”

“Tried a range of cheaper options, and returned all of them (apart from the one I forgot about, and was past the return date).

Great quality, fit and design. Work amazingly well for Zoom/Skype/Teams, etc.

Multi-point. So can be connected to computer and mobile phone at the same time - and they work great in that setup. Very happy - nothing comparable at the price.”

“Needed some new headphones since my AirPods gave out, well one of them did. decided to give these a try since I constantly need to readjust my AirPods, they feel like they’re going to fall out once you start sweating from a good run. These are great for running! You can hear the environment around you, while still listening to your songs or podcasts. They make me feel safer since I know what is going on. I am not constantly having to adjust them either! I am soo satisfied with my purchase so far. “

“Spent $130 on this model, SHOKZ OpenRun Mini (AfterShokz Aeropex Mini) call quality is good but switching songs when playing music does not work properly. I had the base model in the past that lasted me a year! I broke that pair so thought that one was so good lemme spend the extra $50 that one will be better but it’s not. To change or skip you have to double tap the left side it usually pauses it’s very annoying.”

Generally speaking, shokz Openrun Mini is a good headset according to the user's review, but it also has some disadvantages: high price, no built-in memory and so on. Therefore, if you want a pair of bone conduction headphones with lower price, more cost-effective and more powerful functions, Wissonly Hi Runner bone conduction headphone is your good choice,it only costs $99.99.

Wissonly is a headphone brand that attaches great attention on health, and that does not hurt the ears. Their team is also the first one to design non-in-ear headphones that are used to listen to songs. They began to explore the application of bone conduction technology to Bluetooth headphones as early as 10 years ago. After 10 years of accumulation, they have made great progress in the sound quality improvement and sound leakage reduction of bone conduction headphones. And these technologies are applied to their Wissonly Hi Runner headphones, their flagship product.

r/HeyNewGadget - Best headphones for runners:shokz openrun mini review

In order to solve the problem of sound leakage of bone conduction headphones, wissonly developed full closed sound leakage reduction technology. They comprehensively improved the vibration of the headphones, body design, software optimization and other directions. They finally reduced the sound leakage by 90%. In terms of sound quality, most of the bone conduction headphones have average sound quality, but the sound quality of Wissonly Hi Runner is undoubtedly better in bone conduction. They used a large-sized vibration unit, and through structural optimization, and finally increased the effective vibration area, so that the sound range was wide. The official claimed sound quality reach the HIFI level, but I don't think that they reached. They are just close to the HIFI sound quality, which is enough to satisfy me.

The excellent performance of these two characteristics, sound leakage reduction and sound quality, makes Wissonly Hi Runner have the basic conditions to become an excellent bone conduction headphone. Their other configurations are also very good. They are with a built-in 32GB of memory, and can play music even without connecting the phone. You can use them as an MP3 player. They support IPX8 waterproof level in swimming, even in underwater scenes that do not support Bluetooth, they can be used with MP3 function.
