“I ordered these headphones to replace a pair of Bose Soundsports that I never really loved (got as a gift), and had begun wearing out physically (becoming unglued).

First I’ll say I’ve always loved the sound profile of JBL (have some of their speakers), so I assumed sound quality/profile of these would be up my alley and I was definitely right. While these don’t have the bass of my JBL speaker they do have more than the Bose.

Second, these are actually in-ear, which I love. During my run I didn’t have any slipping or falling out issues other reviewers mentioned, either, so it might just depend on your ear size.

Third, the addition of noise canceling (which I haven’t truly tested in a louder environment yet) is definitely going to be great for the gym.

The only negative (hence 4 stars) I have is you can’t use the tap commands to adjust the volume, which did already start to bug me. But, I have a smart watch so I just need to retrain my brain to reach for that instead of a headphone cord.

All in all very happy with my purchase and looking forward to getting a lot of use out of these!”

“Nice fit and no problem running or the working out at the gym. Good sound and app that shows battery life, has eq adjustments, checks for optimal fit, and gesture changes. earbuds magnetically snap into case however i have to rotate the wing tips to the bottom of the case to make sure they charge. Not a big issue once ya know how.”

“Order these hoping they would replace my current gym earbuds but they did not. Didn't want to stay in ear that well and the controls on the earbuds were not that good. Decent sound and color were awesome. But as a good product not for me. I do sweat a lot so if your not sweater then maybe decent for you but for me these were not the ones.”

“The sound and fit of the Reflect Aero are great. They are very light in your ear and the ear tip and ear fin options allow you to get a perfect fit. The nice part is the JBL Headphones app has a fit tester that helps you get the best fit, especially for the noise canceling.

I see other people had issues with connection and the earbuds falling out, but I had none of those issues. In fact, the connection process was quick and easy. I tested the connection on my iPhone 14, Garmin Fenix, and HP computer, and all of them had a great connection and sound quality.”

“Edit: So I've been trying as I really like the sound. However, I went back and read more reviews and think I've figure out the problems. THESE ARE A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. A known defective product. I'm still having charging issues. I make sure they are on a flat, stable surface, clean the buds and prongs in the case each time I return them for charging. The LEFT bud has to be watched methodically as it doesn't charge well. Example: Put them in at the top of the hour after checking the battery. Both were at 100%. Used them for exactly 30 mins. Cleaned them, checked the case and prongs were clean and dust free, put the buds in ... right bud at 98%, left bud at 32%. They've been in a case for 6 hours (flat, stable surface). Right bud 100%, left bud 32%. DO NOT BUY THESE BUDS. I also thought I'd finally found a good fit but that too isn't the case. Once I start sweating, they will eventually pop out.

After several days of fumbling with the attachments I finally have a secure fit that optimizes the ANC. However, none of that matters if they won't charge. At first I left them in the case with the case plugged in but just laying on the sofa. Next day get to the gym and only 1 bud is charged. Next I put them in the case with it plugged in on a table with a completely flat surface. Back to the gym same thing, only 1 bud charged and the opposite one this time. There is absolutely no visible indicator to confirm the buds are charging. You must turn them on and check the battery level in the app. This is beyond an annoyance as the sound quality and ANC are great. I've just never gotten a full charge on both bids to use them at the same time.”

“I've had these headphones for a month and some change (purchased July 18). They were working well until without warning, they just got really quite. The volume from the left bud is the softest of the two, but they're both annoyingly quiet now. I strain to hear music even in an empty room. They're practically useless on runs or in the gym. I'm contacting customer service about them now, but pretty disappointed overall.”

“Have always been a fan of JBL products. Enjoying the true wireless experience now and it is liberating. Whether it be at the gym or even on the road, the ANC is amazing. When I first tried it on at home, I did not even hear my sister coming in or moving around in the house until she tapped me on my shoulder. Absolutely loving my earbuds.”

“This is closer to a 5 star rating but there are no increments between 4 and 5 and I tend to rely heavily on long battery life. Honestly, these buds are so good it's worth the minor trade off. Here is why:

I stopped using my Apple Airpod Pros when they failed after 9 months. Naturally, when I attempted to claim warranty work Apple told me they wouldn't honor the warranty because it was my fault, the buds got wet and that corrodes the connections. I run outdoors so that did not come as a surprise. That's when I found out the Apple product only has a water resistance of IPX 4. I set out to find a more water-resistant set and found the JBLs, which are rated so high that they are virtually waterproof. I was pleased to find that they sounded a lot better than any earbuds I've ever owned, had fantastic noise cancellation, ambient noise mode and talk-through. The best part was that, when combined with the app, the range of tonal control was virtually unlimited, including the ability to create and save your own personal EQ profiles. I absolutely love wearing these to the gym, running (even in the rain), biking and just putzing around the house. The one minor drawback is that 6 hours seems to be the maximum battery life. The good news is that the charging case recharges them relatively quickly. 4 & 3/4 Stars. Very happy customer here.”

“I purchased JBL Reflect aero TWS based on 2 things.

  1. sound quality

  2. design - fins to provide a better grip and stabilize earphones

Battery life I did not expect much since it is worse than on my previous earphones set even as per advertised 8h earphones and 16h case (total of 24h). No. Earphones definitely not 8h even with ANC off. When taken out of the case earphones are never 100% full. One of the earphones if constantly more charged than the other. But this is a minor and acceptable issue I could live with. Case never provides with additional 16h. Even with the ANC off and the case charges, the battery life is shorter than advertised.

  1. Sound quality. Good. For this price range very good. ANC does the great job.

  2. Design is nice, build quality seems ok. Overall, the design is interesting and they are nice looking pair of earphones with a nice case. One of the main selling point of this set are the provided "powerfins for secure fit". No. Just no. Fit is everything but secure. Earphones are flying out of the ear even without any movement. If not inserted correctly, the fins actually act like a spring and can launch the earphone. All 3 sizes of fins are failing (at least for me) to provide the secure fit. Today I went out on a windy day and the wind actually managed to blow one of them out.

To wrap up- definitely decent pair of earphones (especially with the reduced price) but not to be used in gym, or, God forbid, during jogging. Good for listening to the music during the easy walks or talks during the casual strolles.”

“I really really wanted to like these. I truly love JBL as a brand and most of their products are fantastic. But these are truly God awful. They don't fit in the ear comfortably (yes I tried all sizes of wings and ear bud). The headphones also fall out constantly without any movement. I'd be sitting at my desk doing work and the left one would literally just pop out of my ear. I couldn't wear them for more than 20 minutes without getting a headache because they are so uncomfy.

Moreover, the connection to my laptop is extremely poor. The sound on zoom calls was static-y and I was missing every fourth or fifth word that my client said.

Honestly, I rarely review things, but this was such an extreme let down I decided to write a review.”
