“Not quite as good as my old pair and you risk getting one with a defective battery, but customer service was good and the new pair is solid.

I got these headphones because I loved my previous pair and was looking for something to run with. I initially got a lemon of a pair where the headphones would go from a full charge to saying there was 10% left within 5-10 minutes. I went to initiate a return but decided to contact the seller first. They sent me a USPS slip to mail them the defective set and then shipped me a new set upon receipt. I haven't tested claims of 7 hours of battery life, but what I get is sufficient for my need and I have minor complaints. I feel like this isn't as good as the old version I had. The volume controls are touch instead of buttons. On one hand that limits the pressure you put on your ear, on the other, these are meant for running and sweat might cause the volume to change. I haven't had that experience yet, but I think I prefer the old buttons instead for confidence in the result of my actions. I also feel like the sound quality is slightly poorer, but it's still solid.

I do love being able to hear my surroundings. I have a different set that will block out sound, but I don't want to use those in a variety of settings so these are perfect.”

“I have been using my bluetooth headphones now for almost a year, and sound is superb. Mine lasts 8+hrs. That's for music, watching videos, or having it on. If I have the volume up and my phone's volume maxed, I can't hear anything around me. The sound quality is very clear and well balanced, and it feels very comfortable. Sometimes I forget I have it in my ears. The sweatproof and waterproof is a nice touch. The only Cons I have is, it takes too long to power off. Pressing and holding the up "button" for 4 seconds.”

“I'd had my first gen for some years until the battery stopped holding a charge. I running in them regularly, wear them for gardening and lawn work, and take them on motorcycle trips to listen to some music in my tent at night. They were great. Comfortable, stayed in my ears (an ongoing problem with me and earbuds), sounded excellent, and ran for hours.

So when they went bad I figured I'd just buy a new pair. Unfortunately, they decided to "improve" them.

1) The strap across the back of the neck, which I like because it keeps the pair together, is stiffer than the originals. The practical result of this is that the strap puts pressure on the earbuds and the left hand side falls out of my ear all the time. Now when I run I am constantly (every block or so) having to reach up and push it back into place.

2) The battery life is significantly less. Used to be that a couple long runs would get to me "Battery life medium". Once I hit medium I could listen for quite a while til "battery life low" and even then I might have another forty five minutes or so until "recharge headset" warning came on, followed shortly by powering off. The new ones seem to be a) inconsistent and b) short lived. One run gets me close to "battery medium" and the other day I started a run at medium and they shut off two thirds of the way through a 45 minute run.

3) The voice that gives you status is shrill and annoying. It isn't a sound quality issue because the sound quality for both music and podcasts is just fine. It is the voice they chose to keep you up to date.

The Positives:

Sound quality is still really good and these are one of the only sets I have found that still have the strap across the back of the neck. If I didn't have that strap, like so many don't know, I'd constantly be stopping to go back and pick up the left earbud from the ground when it fell out.”

“Fed up with running with my iPhone earbuds, one of which threatened to fall out of my ears every 30 seconds or so, I spent most of a Friday evening searching for an upgrade to my running audio game. I found these Plantronics BBF 2100 on several runners' websites, with solid reviews. Thing is... there were lots of whiny (audiophile?) reviews on Amazon about a "hiss" and "these are way worse than the prior model [which are basically not sold now]". So I hesitated to buy them. I eventually figured I'd give them a try, though, because they seemed to be the best all-around runner's headphone in the sub-$100 price point. They arrived yesterday, and I took them running today. I think THEY ARE GREAT! They stayed in my ears - I didn't have to adjust them once. They are lightweight, and don't wiggle or bounce. They sound beautiful - way better than my stock iPhone earbuds. Easy to control too - I didn't mess with the iPhone App; I like default configuration: adjust volume with the left earbud, and power/pause with the right. For about $60 I don't know that there exists a better option for a running headphone. For anyone else who saw the 1-star reviews, I'd say to give these a shot, and based on my experience I would be you will be happy with your decision.”

“I bought these for running and think they are great for it. Let's face it, sound quality is a challenge with running headphones because they aren't sealing in your ears. The sound drivers are held a bit off-ear by the earbuds. They are comfortable, have easy to use controls, stay put when running, and let you hear what is going on around you.

These do have some hiss but I don't notice it when the music is playing.

The sound quality of these is just a notch worse than Airpods but still pretty good for this type of headphones.”

“These are very lightweight, comfortable, and are waterproof. The rubber piece that goes around the back of the neck is soft and is so light I forget it’s even there.

These are designed for outdoor use and by design, let in a lot of ambient sound. There is little to no noise isolation. That makes them perfect for running or biking where sound awareness is important. However, that same feature makes them a bit questionable if you’re looking to use them in a noisy gym because your music or podcast will be competing with your gym’s music and other background noise. The max volume level on these is also quite a bit less than my other blue tooth earbuds, which makes sense since really cranking up the sound would defeat the intended ambient awareness.

Call quality is great – I can hear callers (and they can hear me) quite well even inside my noisy gym. Music also sounds excellent.

Overall, the combination of sound quality, call quality, comfort and water proofing makes these an excellent exercise choice if you don’t want or need noise isolation.”

“Good: plantronics nailed the design with backbeat fit series long back. This is an incremental/ revamped headset piggy backing on same design. If you run, there isn’t a better wireless one. I have used Apple AirPods / Pro, Beats, Sennheiser, Sony to name a few, none came close to comfort & awarenss this design provides. My earlier BBFIT lasted me a few years. Only days ago one speaker sound was dead and still good battery life which is amazing

Bad: while exercising or running, tactile buttons works best. Touch ones not so much. The rubber/silicone doesn’t seems so flexible as original BBFIT which use to just adjust to shape. Backbeat iOS app still horrible

Battery life yet to be seen...”

“I had an old pair of the earlier model (don't remember the name) that I loved. They finally died and I bought this newer version despite the poor reviews. The PROs are that the headphones fit me the same (securely) and still allow me to hear ambient noises which I think is important while running/riding the trails.

The CONs are

1. The battery life has been pretty bad. Maybe 4 hours per charge. But what makes it annoying is that I'll turn them on and it'll say 'battery high' and within like 1 hr it will be at battery low, time to recharge and then shut itself off. So now I just try to charge every other day. My last pair would get charged once a week, and when you turned them on it would tell you how much time you had remaining.

2. The volume control is kinda quirky. It's touch sensitive and doesn't work well with gloves. But there is also a second or two delay between touching it and something happening. It took me a bit to learn to just tap it and then wait for the volume up/down before tapping it again.”

“I owned a pair of the original Backbeat FIT and bought these as a replacement, so I will write this review as a comparison.

Overall, they're the same quality but cost less. The bass is slightly better on the 2100 and they can go louder. They both fit great (on my large head), avoiding the inconvenience of ear buds falling out. I absolutely love the slick implementation of the behind-the-head design and the materials used: they're never over my head, I can take them off and they rest on my neck, and I don't have two little devices to worry about. Plus, the waterproof, sweat proof and relatively indestructible build are a huge bonus. I'm still getting used to the new button setup, which I'm not sure is an improvement. The software that comes with the 2100 looks great, but it's unfinished: the previously useful Find My Headset feature is useless when -- much of the time -- it doesn't recognize the device even when it's already connected to it.

I'd include a photo but I had them for less than two weeks and lost them. The Find My Headset feature guessed that they are at my house, but that's definitely not where I last used them. I'm ordering another pair, which I guess is a sign that the Backbeats are still my favourite headphones available.”

“I really wanted to like these headphones but the earpieces are much larger than I expected. I had difficulty getting them in, and although they stayed in place I found them very uncomfortable to wear. Can't see myself being able to use these for a long call or just to listen to music or podcast. However, the sound quality is excellent, far better than other devices I've tried. May try another model from Plantronics.”

The above is the real user review of Plantronics backbeat fit. Generally speaking, it is a good completely wireless waterproof headphone, but its disadvantages are obvious. After all, it is an in-ear earbuds, wearing it for a long time will still cause discomfort to the ears and easy to fall off, not to mention using it in running. Therefore, if you want a comfortable wearing experience, Wissonly Hi Runner sports bone conduction headphone with open ear design and high cost performance are recommended.

I noticed Wissonly bone conduction headphones when they were first crowdfunded online. And later, I saw that some otologists were recommending them on online forums, so I bought them. This Hi Runner is their flagship product whose overall functionality is also the most perfect. The headphone use the latest research from the Wissonly lab. It increases the vibrating area of the vibrator by 35% and optimizes the direction of sound transmission to make the sound more concentrated, resulting in a wider range and more spatial of the music. The brand claims that its sound quality is HI-FI level, and I actually tested it myself. I thought that the sound quality was very close to HI-FI level, but it did not reach this level. Of course, the current sound quality is satisfactory enough.

The Wissonly Hi Runner bone conduction headphone has both Bluetooth and built-in storage playback modes. The new Bluetooth 5.0 chip has stronger anti-interference ability, which can easily cope with a variety of complex outdoor scenes and ensure that the good mood during sports is not interfered with by broken lines. At the same time, the stable connection also brings low latency performance, listening to music, watching TV, playing games are no problem. What's more, they have 32 gigabytes of internal memory, which can store 5,000 songs.

In terms of fit and comfort, the whole frame of Wissonly Hi Runner is made of adjustable aviation grade titanium steel, which can adapt to different sizes of head circumference and ensure the stability of wearing. Its earphone surface is made of high-tech low-sensitivity silicone material, which contains no chemical components to avoid allergic phenomena. The overall touch of the headphone is as silky as baby's skin, avoiding uncomfortable situations when worn for a long time. Moreover, its weight is very light, less than 30g, and it will not feel heavy when worn. The open-ear design makes it safer to use outdoors because you can easily hear the sounds around you.

The waterproof of the Wissonly Hi Runner deserves special mention, and it is IPX8 grade. It means that you can carry it underwater for up to 20 meters and still use it normally, which is crazy!
