Review 1: ★★★★★

“The size and hand-feel of these buds are good, and they STAY IN PLACE in my ears unlike the AirPods that fall out and bounce around like a manic ferret. Also, these are great for outdoor working out/busy activities and are water/sweatproof. How proof? I accidentally left the case w/buds in my pants pocket and put them through the washer and dryer. Found them when I emptied the dryer and through them on the charger right away since there was no connection/power signal. Next morning they operated perfectly- and they’re clean! So yeah, there’s JBL’s best endorsement right there.

These have good sound quality, and the Reflect Mini let’s you dial in and save the EQ to your taste with the free companion app. It’s also great for finding the buds if you misplaced them since said app had a “find my buds” feature (don’t be wearing them while using that feature). And the touch-based options can be mapped/configured to your liking as well. Would recommend.”

Review 2: ★★★★☆

“Well I wrote a huge review and then my app crashed so I am rewriting it for the second time. I purchased these about 2 years ago when they were on sale for $75 and I have been using them for 10+ hours a day, 5 days a week for almost 2 YEARS!!! I’m a welder in a metal fabrication shop and it’s very loud, but the noise canceling feature in these works amazing! Also, the case only needs to be charged about twice a week even though I use these literally the entire shift and then afterwards and working out at the gym. I’ve recently started having issues with the left one losing sound but when I clean it with a can of air it fixes it so I believe the issue is just ear wax leaking into it. Over all, I have been very satisfied with them and would literally not be able to get through my day without them. Definitely a good product for the price.”

Review 3: ★★★☆☆

“These headphones sound great after you change app EQ settings. I would have given these headphones 5 stars, but they have a major flaw. I use these for working out and the sound cuts out for a sec or two while I’m working out. Weather I have my my phone in my pocket or on table next to me. I updated the software and still music cuts out. I know that all wireless headphones cut out on occasion but these do it to much.”

Review 4: ★★☆☆☆

“Worked the first few months for working out then right earbud started to get quieter and quieter until now on full volume it’s a struggle to hear anything. The earbuds used to last a whole 8 hour work shift and 9 mo later they due after 6 hours at low volume listening. There have been times I left the buds in overnight to wake up and have a left bud at 7% and right at 10%. They didn’t even last 1 year. I will not be purchasing JBL products again.”

Review 5: ★★★★☆

“Absolutely love these. The noise cancellation works great and love the “talk thru” feature. With my old ear buds, I couldn’t hear anything going on around me and would get constantly yelled at from my wife for not hearing the kids or what she is saying, but not when I set these to talk thru. When I want to just tune everything out, I can switch to the noise canceling and just get lost in my music or podcast.

The fit is great and they stay right in place while I am running or working out. Also work perfectly while at work.

The only reason I couldn’t give these 5 stars was because I had to return 2 pairs. The 1st one had a blown speaker and then the 2nd pair wouldn’t shut off when I closed the lid and the battery would run out very quickly. So far so good on the 3rd pair (it’s been about 2 weeks and I use these just about every single day). Return process wasn’t bad and replacements came quickly.”

Review 6: ★★★☆☆

“I picked these up because I needed a pair of buds that could withstand lots of sweat and some light rain while I’m running, cycling, and working out. I have been using my AirPods 2nd Gen forever but they fall out and don’t really sound that great. I do have a pair of Galaxy Buds Live that I enjoy the sound quality, but they aren’t very secure either for vigorous activity.

Fit: The JBL buds have a lot of options. Between 3 sizes of tips AND fins, you can probably find a secure fit that’s comfy for you. I ended up as I thought I would, with the smallest wings and tips. The buds do stick out from my ear pretty significantly, but they are secure. They don’t really move while exercising and getting a sweat on.

Sound: Initial sound on these is absolutely terrible. The highs are murderously bad and they have a generally “plastic” sound quality to them. The EQ function in the JBL app can help, but they still sound like pretty bad headphones. I had to tweak the EQ for a long time to get a passable sound that I can withstand. For the money I expect far better than this.

Functions: It has everything you’d expect, if you’re not expecting ANC. It has about the same level of ANC as the Galaxy Buds LIVE, which is pretty much none. Its a useless feature on these buds.

All other functions work well and they are reliable.

I do use them for working out, but ONLY for working out because the sounds pretty much sucks, though it is tolerable after EQ adjustments. I would pay maybe $30-$40 for these. NOT $100. There are better options for sound and ANC. The fit is pretty great though and they are very water resistant and tough.”

Review 7: ★★★★☆

“These connected easily. The app works well and by customizing the EQ in the app you can get a REALLY good sound profile. The battery is fine, and the case charged them quickly.

My problem is that they don’t stay in my ears. They come with 3 sets of tips and wing tips and none of them keep them secure while running or working out in the gym. Plus when I try to push them back in, the touch controls pause my music. So annoying.

Anyway, I love how they sound, hate how they fit. If you have better shaped ears than mine, they might be perfect for you though.”

Review 8: ★★★☆☆

“Bought 6 months ago and suddenly the left ear bud isn’t working. The volume is super low even at the highest volume. The right earbud works perfect but has me off balance as the left is so low. I’ve tried all the steps to fix and nothing seemed to work. JBL is amazing as always for my working out and replacing them after we tried to troubleshoot. I loved these while they worked. Hopefully the next ones last longer than 6 months.”

Review 9: ★★★★★

“I don’t typically use ear buds, I have always found it hard to find a pair the fit comfortable in my ears for working out until I came across these. First and for most they fit securely in my ears and are not irritating after extend periods of wear. The sound stage is absolutely amazing with crystal clarity and separation of the bass response is really really nice for the bass heads out there. The cherry on top is the app with the equalizer adjustments that allows you to customize these buds to your liking. All in all I am very pleased with these and would not hesitate to recommend these to anyone reading this. Awesome Product Thank You JBL for them.”

Review 10: ★☆☆☆☆

“I use these once a week while I’m working out the yard or doing some project around the house. I’ve used them less than 50 times since I purchased them.

The right ear bud doesn’t hold a charge. 5 minutes after I’ve charged them fully I get a ‘battery is low’ voice from the headphones. On top of that they lose stereo syncing between the two and there are areas in my house and yard they drop out altogether. I’ve factory reset them several times and the issues are reoccurring. Today after fully charging them the right bud didn’t work at all and I am officially done with them.”

Based on reviews from users of these wireless headphones, we can know that some users are satisfied with them and give positive reviews, but others hold the opposite view and give negative reviews. Because they think that the battery life of the headphones does not last up to 7 hours, the charging device is also problematic, and the quality is not perfect. Therefore, these are not the best headphones for working out.

In this regard, if we were to recommend a headphone for workouts, we would recommend the better performing Wissonly Hi Runner bone conduction headphones because their ear-hanging wearing style and up to 10 hours of battery life are better suited to meet the needs of people who love working out.
