Runner Headphone - Jlab Jbuds Air Sport
Oct 19,2023 | David
Have you used Jlab's headphones? If not have you used heard of the brand? I think the vast majority of people have heard of this brand at one time or another because it's kinda famous. There are many different series of headphones under this brand. The most distinctive feature of most of the series is its on-ear design. This design is more secure to wear than traditional in-ear headphones and is more suitable as running headphones. But there is also a fatal drawback, its ear hooks fit most people not all. Now let's see how Jlab's Jbuds Air Sport series performs on the run in conjunction with user reviews.

Great for runners, I actually own two sets of these because I lost my first pair and found them again after my new pair arrived. For something so inexpensive, these are great, and almost always last all the way through my long runs of around three hours, as long as ice charged them! There is something funky with this new pair and the skipping function, and sometimes the left earbud doesn't charge (also the new pair) which is the only reason for one star removed. It's a quirk I can live with!

Absolutely great for my runner and my less active kiddo. They’re teens and I tried buying a different pair once and they were adamant that these are the best. Period. So, if it makes a teen happy, and we have bought them each a set that is lasting forever, I’d say that’s a win. Also, replacement parts if your kid loses a piece, very affordable!!!

I read numerous reviews and this item was listed as a solid wireless earbud solution as a runner. I have had multiple issues with the headsets and now the devices do not synch up with my iPhone. The first issue was the sound was soft and even though I had volume maxed out, could not hear the music when running though environments with moderates amount of noise. Nothing I tried was able to fix this part.
The units did fit my ears properly and did not fall out (a major issue I consistently have with earbuds).
The battery life at 4 hours is just OK. That is the advertised limit but I new pair that I am getting 8 hours of life on and the sound quality is better at 1/2 the price.
The major issue I have with this unit now is about 3 days after the deadline to return the device no longer synchs with my iPhone. I can't get the bluetooth to connect at all. I will continue troubleshooting and searching online for a fix to see if I can salvage something but right now, not impressed with this unit at all and in fact am unable to use it.

The left earbud quit working after 3 weeks of use as an avid runner. the earpiece is made of very hard rigid plastic which after about 10 minutes on the ears get very uncomfortable. The sound quality while they worked was good for the price and is the only reason I am giving it 2 stars.

These are my second pair. My first are dedicated to my Peloton and this pair to my cellphone. Audio quality is pretty good. They dont move or fall out during runs or gym sessions like other earbuds. The Active Listening feature is weird at first but once you get used to it its fine. It definitely saved me once on a run from a car coming up behind me.
Definitely recommend for runners.

The best aspect of these earbuds is that only one earbud (right) has to be connected to Bluetooth, with the other bud (left) connected to the right bud. This is critical because the earbuds won’t drop off Bluetooth. I purchased - and returned- the TBI Pros because both earbuds have to be connected to the Bluetooth - and one or both kept dropping off the Bluetooth. As a runner of many years, this is one of the earbuds I have used. They are even better then my Jabra earbuds because the JLabs are more comfortable in the ear, and stay in place. Bottom line - great earbuds and do NOT try the TBI Pros.

Bought these to wear while running. They don't stop like others have due to sweat. The sound quality is great and they stay on well if you need to pull it out of your ear to hear your surroundings. They start to get a little unconformable after about 3 hours though. Battery life has been long lasting.

So I bought these after buying a different pair a year or two back, these were a huge upgrade but are not super cheap since they cost about $60. The audio quality is just ok, but I bought them to go running in, most other pairs of headphones fall out of my ear , especially as I sweat. These stay on my ears even during a long run in the heat, so they do what i want them to do. the buttons is a little annoying , they should have made it less complicated, but over time you kind of get used to it.

These have pretty good sound, not the deepest bass but clarity is good. Be Aware works well for running but amplifies wind noise when cycling. The mic isn’t good on phone calls, sends background noise through to your caller. I liked that these came in a cardboard package. I had no plastic to try to cut through, and the packaging broke down easily for recycling.

They are a great headset. I was hoping they would work for gaming, and a good workout. However, the latency with the bluetooth connection for gaming is pretty bad, and they do not get as loud as I like. But, overall great sound quality. I will keep them for when I go on runs.
Combined with user reviews, most users found these headphones to be great for running. They fit well with the ears and don't fall off for long runs. You can hear the ambient sound well even with the headphones on when running outdoors. One of the biggest complaints users have with these headphones is the sound quality: including low volume and skipping. Users with sensitive skin will be uncomfortable with prolonged use due to the rigid plastic of the earpiece. Overall most users are satisfied with the battery life and solidity of these headphones. Users looking for sound stability and skin sensitivity recommend the Wissonly Hi Runner Bone Conduction Headphones. The Hi Runner features Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and a soft, skin-friendly silicone exterior to give you a great wearing experience.
Wissonly Hi Runner does a very good job in the field. Its body is sealed, and through structural optimization and algorithm adjustment, its sound leakage is minimized. The official claim they can eliminate 90% of sound leakage. I do not have professional equipment to test, but I have tried and found that at 60%-70% volume, the sound is completely inaudible at a distance of 1.5 meters, which makes me very satisfied. I have actually compared it with other bone conduction headphones, and the Wissonly Hi Runner has currently the best sound leakage reduction solution in bone conduction headphones.
The Wissonly Hi Runner is also particularly comfortable in the wearing experience. Because the material of the whole machine is high-tech hypoallergenic silicone, and it is coupled with the ergonomic design that conforms to the structure of the human ear, so that users will not bring any burden to the ear under long-term wear.
Sound quality as the core performance is undoubtedly worth mentioning. Hi Runner uses a large-sized vibration unit, the sound range is wider, the sound is more three-dimensional and deeper, so the sound quality is undoubtedly very good. And it is also equipped with a Bluetooth 5.0 chip, the connection is more stable. And it will not be disconnected when used, which is a good experience. The Wissonly Hi Runner also comes with 32GB of built-in storage that can store 5,000 songs, so you can use it completely as an MP3 player to enjoy music without your phone when you go out for a run.
